Things are definitely looking up for Utah. I think acquiring A.J. was the best thing that could have happened to the Jazz this off season. (Besides getting Lebron hahaha) With D-Will getting him good looks next year he should put up all star numbers. He also brings something Boozer never did with his ability to block shots. I guess we didn’t need to go big in the draft after all. Also signing a Vet like Raja Bell to replace Wes Matthews after he was offered a ridiculous contract, was also a really good move. A three point shooter and defensive specialist who is already familiar with Utah’s system. He should mess well with the team and help bring along the Defensive game of C.J. Miles and Gordon Hayward. Who are only 23 and 20 respectively. The X factor has to be how strong Memo comes back next year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jefferson and Millsap start up front with Memo coming off the bench.

It has been a great off season for the Jazz. If healthy Jefferson is an upgrade over Boozer. Wesley Matthews got a crazy offer from the Blazers. No way he’s worth that money and I’m happy the Jazz decided to go with a proven veteran like Bell. Gordon Hayward will find his niche as the season goes on and if AK-47 and Okur come back healthy this team has to be considered the top contender in the West outside of LA.

This pickup was huge, they have a bunch of players with a combo of youth AND experience (d-will, millsap, jefferson, miles) and then crafty veterans (okur, kirilenko, bell) along with rookie gordon hayward…expect big things from this squad

they pretty much loook like the same caliber of team as last year unless AK47 does some hot tub time machine type stuff and balls like it’s 2005.

i still cant believe that tha blazers gave that kinda contract to matthews…i love wes mattews cuhz he has worked hard to get to where he is n he deserved a good contract n i have been seeing his progression since his freshman year…but it makes no sense 4 tha blazers…when u have roy, fernadez, batum, bayless, williams, n babbit all capable wing players i dont c how he is gonna break thru over fernandez n roy n batum to get major minutes on tha wing they must b plannin to trade fernandez or was expectin utah to match this deal i really dont get tha sign by tha blazers

oh n utah is lookin like a 2 thru 8 seed in tha west its gonna b tha same way in tha west this year its gonna b competetive from 2 thru 9 n tha lakers is gonna run away wit tha number one seed n breeze thru tha playoffs as usual…theres no team in the west that gonna b competitive to tha lakers so none of these teams really even matter they all gotta step there games up…utah has been a floor mat 4 tha lakers 4 tha last 3 years…n this could b tha 4th….tha only team in tha west wit tha potential to give la a run 4 there money is okc…n that depends on how jeff green become more assertive n i dont c it happenin…so we get 3 see tha east beat up on each other n wats ever left of tha team that makes tha finals will have to play a nice fresh confident laker team in tha finals…i wonder if miami or tha magic will b able to overcome that cuhz tha celtics couldnt n there not goin to b able to next year

I think Al can deffinitely be an upgrade over Booz. I also think he fits the Jazz system more, it’s going to be fun to watch.

They have made some good moves, Jefferson will be a beast, but only similar numbers to that of Boozer aside of a few more blocked shots. Raja Bell will bring solid defense, but they will miss Matthews explosiveness off the bench. They will most likely finish 4-5 in the West behind L.A., Dallas, Portland, and probably Denver…so yeah, not much different from last season…
