4 trey’s, great that they kept him! I was wrong, I will admit it, and I honestly think Gordon making it is a very good thing. Very glad the US is playing this well against Greece, very good sign.

That makes 5 for Gordon, 18 points. Plus, I am convinced no one knows how to box out like Kevin Love! That guy is a monster on the glass, such a smart basketball player. Those guys may be the 11th and 12th guys! I think they should both see some significant minutes, great players for the FIBA game.

Does anyone know where I can get a box score? I want to know how many boards Love had, he was working his butt off.

Is anyone else sick of hear Fran announce these games? When USA does well he talks about how the other team isnt playing all their best players (guess what fran, the USA team isn’t eithier). When the US play a close game like against Spain all he talks about is how easily this US team could lose. When US gets a fastbreak all he talks about is how they won’t get easy buckets in “real” games. When the US get back calls against them all he talks about is how the US team need to “adjust to the officiating” instead of admitting that european refs are human and make mistakes just like the rest of us.

I’ve been knowing EJ for over 10 years, so I couldn’t be happier that people outside of LA and Indianapolis are starting to realize how good of a player he is.

He’s tremendously underrated and that’s proven by the amount of fans, bloggers and “experts” who thought he’d get cut. Majority of people outside of LA and Indianapolis didn’t even think he had a chance to make the team.

He’s the youngest player on Team USA and I think he’s underrated at both ends of the floor.

Man, I told you I was wrong! No need to rub salt in the wound, lol. He is a great player man, I have always liked him. One of the reasons you might like him so much could be his ties to Indiana though, my man :). I just thought he might be one the guys that got cut, just because it was very difficult to see Rondo not being on the team at the time. I think Gordon is a much better fit on the team and that he should get significant minutes on a team that lacks “true” shooting guards. He is more than showing he belongs on the team. Kind of reminds me when he and Rose were on the same AAU team, except throw in Durant, Gay, Iguodala, Love, Billups, Westbrook, Granger, Odom and the rest of the gang. Should be interesting to see, and I do think Greece will likely play better in the tournament, but it was nice to go to that link and see Gordon stroke some triples and Kevin killing the glass (Hey, I lived in Oregon man, Kevin Love is someone I’ve gotta take some pride in:).
