 It’s kind of hard to score when you’re the only player on your team worth being on the court with the USA, and you’re literally going up against the best players in the world. I’ve actually liked what I’ve seen from Horford. He’s shown a great array of moves so far handling the ball, and even showing confidense in his three point shot.

LOL@ the Cal hate. I’m pretty sure he didnt have a overwhemling talent advantage when he coached Memphis or UMass of the final four team he had at UK two season’s ago. What about double the amount of any other schools when it comes to All Americans for Coach K and Roy or Dean Smith. Not only that but those guys stay 3-4 years. I guess those guys can’t coach either. Cal got this Dr team one win from being in the Olympics, a team that was not even in the disccusion when it comes to Olympics. Its pretty common that a team that wins a lot or wins a title has more talent than other teams if i’m not mistaken

towns played late in the game, i mean he didnt do anything but he also didnt look too out of place either. Defenitely interesting to see a 16 year old out there with 3 more years of highschool ahead of him. What an amazing experience for him to develop.

All minor violations that really didn’t make Duke any better.

Maggette- something in highschool with his AAU coach that Duke didn’t know anything about and they weren’t punished for it because it had nothing to do with Duke and Maggette’s decision to come to Duke.

Poythress- (didn’t even come to Duke sadly…kids going to be a monster) Coach K called when he thought he could (there was a confusion because Poythress was done with one competition but in fact his team was playing in another tourney a couple days later) so it was more or less an honest mistake. And it was so in the gray zone that they didn’t even hand out a violation but if they DID it would’ve have been merely a secondary violation with virtually no consequence besides a slap on the hand.

Are you really trying to compare those two scenarios with how Calipari has destroyed two programs with his cheating? Calipari supporters will say "oh well he wasn’t directly accused so it’s not his fault" BS you know full and well that he knew what was going on and before the NCAA could investigate he made sure he got his ass out of there and to another school.

I’m from Chicago…and I know the kind of slimey shit that went around the Anthony Davis recruitment…IT’S TRUE. But I doubt the NCAA would have the balls to take down Calipari this time because of of the ratings his Kentucky team gets…

And no I’m not a Kentucky hater, in fact they were my second favorite team before Calipari showed up. But this guy is one of the most cunning public figures I’ve ever met. You see how he shamelessly seeks attention in any way shape or form. You’ll NEVER see Roy, Self, K, or Boeheim ever do the kind of stuff he pulls. They have too much class.

So basically you’re trying to say Coach K didn’t know what was going on when Maggette took money in his or when his parents got a job and house in Durham that they couldn’t afford before he went to Duke?  And what did Rose having someone take his S.A.T have to do with his decision to come to memphis when he wouldn’t have been able to go to any college without it?  He had someone take it before he came to Memphis so how exactly is that Cal’s fault?  You throw out specualtion with zero proof of Cal being invlved. As a matter of fact how come you don’t blame the NCAA clearinghouse for clearing Rose after the test scores were turned in?????

And explain how Cal benifets from Camby getting money from a agent as a Jr in college?  I really would like to hear the explination on that one as to how that makes any sense or the fact that Cal turned him in?  How exactly does Cal shamelessly seeks attention?  Does he call up the news and say " hey interview me" or coul dit be possible that because he is popular and has so much talent come play for him that the news actually seeks him out???  Could that possibly be just like with every big actor,sports figure that always seems to be on the news…hmmmmmmmmm.

 

So because you live in Chi you know about the slimey recruiting that you claim happened?  Yet no one has any proof. So should i talk about the slimey things that went down at Duke while i was in college in Raleigh?  The money Ricky Price used to always have or the Benz Elton Brand used to drive around?  Or how about The thosands of Dollars Casey Saunders used to carry around although his family didn’t have money like that????  Unlike you i don’t blame a coach for what a kid does unless there are direct PROOF not rumors because someone is mad that a their school didnt get a kid. I don’t hear anyone say they blame the parents for what a kid does or blame the kid but people are quick to blame the coach just off what someone that doesn’t like the Coach sa ys.  Since when is it that you are guilty with zero proof?

If anything that Applies to Duke because even well respected reporters said Maggette should have been suspended like every single other player that has accepted money and the games he played in shoul dhave been forfited. No Cal didnt have them removed, Marcus Camby and Derrick Rose had them removed. Big difference yet no one acknowledges that. Its funny that no one says anything about Steve fisher o rLarry brown who both had final fours/season’s vacated because of what the players did (actually Larry Brown had proof against him that he broke the rules.

 

Now if you want to not like Cal because of things he did and there is proof other than he said she said or opinions liek how he let Derrick Rose brother on the team plane then yes that was cheating. I’m not even a UK or Cal fan but i know how things liek this works, i know for a fact of players who had money before and while in college and two who didn’t take their S.A.T. The people who need to be blamed is the boosters/Agents not the coach’s. The boosters know which players can help their school win a title and the agents give these kids money before and during college (Camby) because they hope/know that the kid will sign with them after the go to the NBA. For some strange reason intelligent people/fans don’t seem to even consider that alumni and agents are the ones who break most of the rules
