Tar86ekParticipanttop 5 things that the city of cleveland should do to give lebron payback. lol
5- Rename the street he lives in Le’brun Lane.4-Increase taxes by 25 percent on people making more than 14 million a year for the city of Akron.
3-during home games vs. the heat create a 5 minute video on the jumbo screen on the good times of the cavs without any lebron footage. (will be done anyway but will look funny since he was the cavs.
2-donate all number 23 jerseys from cleveland to the poor in the southeast. (reclaim losses through taxes).
1-You guys and girls have fun with this one!!
add the number one best thing

btown gmParticipantthe 2 players that i feel have to be there are billups and durant. durant for obvious reasons and billups provides shooting and most improtantly a leader. the team will be young and if they lose a game they need a proven leader like billups to get them back on track.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantPeople there have been raving about how well Westbrook has played all week..But you never know if a player is guaranteed a spot..With so many great guards on the teams..I think it’ll come down to who i coaches like or feel comfortable with..
I think the players that should be on team are….
Durant…Best player in the camp..plays defense can guard 4 positions, can play 3 positions, great shooter, can score in alot of different ways, good rebounder and his length will bother some teams..
Kevin Love..for a team that wants to play uptempo, his rebounding and outlet passing will be a big help..he plays in international type game…
Brook Lopez..Nice post game.only true center on the team
Stephen Curry.great outside shooter
Derrick Rose…attacks the basket, makes team teammates better
Ray Gay..he can play 3 positions..good rebounder,runs floor well,blocks shots,can play inside or outside…

kaceyParticipantDurant and Billups seem like locks.
I think Lee (injury) and McGee will be cut.

kanyedabestParticipantugh…. yall really think they should take billups over a guy like mayo or reke?? I dont know, its a close call for me, in a tournament like this i think veteran leadership is a lil overated,

RUDEBOY_ParticipantYeah.folks are talkin about Billups leadership..thats good..but in these types of enviroments..you need guys with superior talent..and at this point..Billups is not a better player then Rose…but Billups outside shooting might be whut gets him a spot….

bobbybParticipantDef go with the experiece, mayo and reke are talented but not winners or leaders yet. Chauncey has those qualities and more experience playing overseas

stanford hoopsEcause with the international zone u need a guard who can hit the three and that’s not reke

JNixonParticipantI’d definitely take Billups over Evans and Mayo in this setting…Both are more talented and all that stuff right now but:
Evans needs the ball too much and isn’t a true PG. He also isn’t a better defender or shooter than Billups is.
Mayo is alot like Billups in some things, but he’s also not a PG. I like him more than Evans in comparison for this, but his lack of PG skills and leadership puts him just behind Billups in my eyes.
Also, having a leader isn’t overrated. You NEED someone to be able to run the team and lead if you want to accomplish anything. Billups will provide that, along with some more polished skills than what Evans and Mayo can provide.

Russell0WestbrookParticipantIn no way do you ever even consider cutting Billups he is a better player than Kidd and you hear how much those guys needed his presence in the olympics and they were SUPERSTARS. You cut Reke and McGee they dont stand out in international bball. I think Gay, Billups, and Durant are locks remember a while back they were saying Gay and Durant were playing well enough to have them play this year no matter who was coming back

BasketBalAllanParticipantQuestion: Since they have stated that they like guys who can play multiple positions, how much does that affect the decisions if they were trying to decide between players like Reke and Rondo, one who can play 3 positions verse a guy who really only plays one?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/23/2010 - 9:15am #361206
RUDEBOY_ParticipantI think the coaches will keep guys they’re comfortable with..not the best players
right now i think the only locks are durant & rudy gay…if you look at the 1984 oylmpic team..guys like barkley, karl, malone &stockton were cut to make to make room for scrubs like jeff turner, joe klein, jon koncak & leon wood…
and legend has it that barkley played better in camp then anyone including jordan..i say that becuz everyone there has been raving about how well westbrook has played this week….0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/23/2010 - 9:54am #361243
SteroidParticipantMost international teams play the 2-3 zone against the us because there is no way they can guard our athleticism man to man. The reason we got away with playing so many non-shooters in the Olympics is because we were just that more dominate and superior. I feel that Billups and Curry are going to be unanimous because they are good shooters. Billups will be a good leader, as always, and Curry can play the 2 as well, and they would be the ideal candidates against international teams who love to play the 2-3 zone. I think it would be nice to have a guy like rose or tyreke to have that instant scoring coming off the bench. Personally, I don’t think Rondo or Westbrook are making the team because they just won’t fit for international play, but who knows.. One of them might make it, at best.

ghettosermonParticipantWestbrook should make it because he’s a good defender and capable of playing both guard spots as he was a SG in college. I think Rondo, Reke, and even Mayo to an extent are not built for international play.
