ChewyParticipantRumored to be (according to ESPN from an anon source):
D Cousins
Jeremy Lin
Klay Thompson
Kyrie Irving
John Wall
D DeRozen
P George
G Hayward
K Leonard
D Blair
R Anderson
T Gibson
D Favors
Who out of these guys do you see making the team in the next two Olympics (not this summer) ?

UNCbasketballbumParticipantI think Kyrie will be a shoe-in in 2016 and I like Klay Thompson because of his outside shooting. If Cousins matures, he could be on the team in 4 years as well.

mbunner23ParticipantOnly one for sure would be Kyrie I believe.

aamir543ParticipantKyrie is an obvious pick if he continues along this pace, Cousins as well, Klay to be that Michael Redd guy, John Wall if he fullfills his potential, and Leanord has a chance if he becomes a lock down defender.

mosdefParticipantin the Olympics you have to remember that cuz of the trapzoid lane, range is key. Kyrie would be a lock cuz of Rose’s injury. Klay cuz of his shooting. DeRozan and Blair dont fit international basketball. Paul George has a legitimate shot

mosdefParticipantit just dawned on me that you are saying that this is the roster who will be playing the Olympic team in practice, huh

Afactor4ParticipantBig Man that can stretch the floor is luxury worth having, especially in Euro-Ball. Therefore I think Ryan Anderson is almost as much of a guarantee as Kyrie Irving

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantI’m a bit surprised Greg Monroe isn’t on there.
I think Wall and Kyrie have a pretty good chance at making the 2016 team with CP3 and Deron both pushing 31 years by then.
Cousins has a pretty good chance down low but International ball does not tend to favour guys with his kind of skillset.

aamir543Participant^Monroe was invited but he hasn’t repsonded.

omphalosParticipantI’m fairly certain George will be there next Olympics. He’s a lockdown defender, can guard 1-4 in international competition with his length and his shot should be a lot more consistent by then.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantWhere is Evan Turner???????????
he would make everyone better, he is a USA type of player

SoilworkerParticipantGood players but … Lin? are you serious? has not played how long? while in playoffs we could see Ty Lawson at a high level .. I‘m just saying.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/15/2012 - 6:03am #670184
omphalosParticipantEvan Turner? He’s a subpar defender, shaky outside shooter and needs the ball in his hand to be effective. He simply doesn’t fit the international game and doesn’t fill a role for Team USA. I know you’re a Philadelphia fan, but try to be reasonable.

qDizzle32ParticipantTy Lawson and Greg Monroe should have for sure been on there. I probably would have also put on Thomas Robinson and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist on there.

qDizzle32ParticipantAnd Brandon Jennings should be on there

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantUSA is a team thing, Et or Lawson woulda been better than Lin, you kidding me..

Bill Walton’s KneesParticipantNo Anthony Davis??

SmooveKRYPTParticipantDerrick Favors I see on that next team. He continues to show improvement in his game every year, he’s too athletic for Int’l 4s & 5s and with the goaltending rule he’d kill blocking shots and knocking them off the rim.

truwizfan4evrParticipantI think John Wall wil be great for them noway They will keep up with his quickness. and he a very solid defender as well.
