UPSET ALERT
Wow Penn State's first Big Ten win of the year, that is pretty pathetic of Michigan, like Kansas against TCU
Crazy upset by Penn State over Michigan, definitely did not see that one coming. Just wondering if anyone is watching #7 Georgetown-UConn? Omar Calhoun made a crazy 3 to tie the game with 2.2 left. Know this is off-topic, just kind of along the same "upset" type deal.
Didn't feel it was worth a new thread, so wondered if anyone just saw Niels Giffey steal it and try to win it. About to go to overtime. Funny, as Rob Dauster from NBC Sports called G-Town the "hottest team in the nation". Of course they could still win it, and it is at UConn, still an upset nonetheless. Shame UConn will not be in the tournament, they have a pretty darn impressive resume. A tad inconsistent, but major wins and no really bad losses.
Feels a little like TCU beating Kansas
IDK about UCONN beating Georgtown and saying it's an upset, UCONN has knocked off some pretty good teams all year long, if they werent in trouble they'd probably be a top 25 team.
I feel, G-Town was on a 9 game win streak, leading the conference. Obviously not a level of Penn State over Michigan, that is similar to Kansas-TCU in its insanity. Just wanted to alert people to an awesome possible upset and it has been a great game. 2nd OT, 79-78, Otto Porter makes a game winner with 9.5 seconds left. 10th straight win. Was a really cool game, but for a topic called "UPSET ALERT", felt like this was at least sort of along those lines. To sum things up, Otto Porter has to be the Big East POY and in the National POY discussion. This guy is a stud.
Did not say it was a high level of upset. Was not trying to get competitive, lol. Just when a team that is ranked lower than another team, tends to be classified as an upset. Again, was really just seeing if people were watching the game. Sorry if you felt like I was jacking your post, just know that the "alert" in yours was not exactly getting much more talk about the game as it was going on, as the UConn-Georgetown was still in progress when I originally posted. Lesson learned, will make a new thread next time.
I watch ball and still felt that the Notre Dame game was an upset. Quite frankly, while UConn has been playing well, still do not think they are a traditional power house and find it hard to believe they have the record they do. They have a small backcourt and very little consistency outside of them. DeAndre Daniels played a great game here, just am a tad surprised this team is doing better than last years group.
Be pretty crazy had Drummond come back. People might point to chemistry, just kind of hard to believe that UConn would not reach the expectations some had of last years group pre-season. Kevin Ollie is doing a fantastic job, wondering if it would have made a difference had he controlled the reigns all of last year as well. I know that UConn would absolutely be a tourney team this year, still think that them beating Georgetown today would have been an upset, in the purest definition of the word, lol.
I've sort of felt Michigan was fraud all year. There's just something missing from this team...

UofM losing to Penn State with 8 seconds left!
