Name a player who you think is underrated past or present?

My player is penny hardaway growing up my brother was a big fan i was young but i remember how great a player he was if shaq wouldnt left for la him and penny couldve did big things. Penny had the passes the crossovers the athletic ability the jumpshot he had it all but he had weak knees he was the mcgrady of the 90’s he was the first player who was actually living up tp the hype being called the next magic johnson. when they beat chicago in the finals that time michael jordan couldnt do anything with penny im not saying he is better than mike either. His shoes still sell good today the first ones i had of his where the Nike Air 1/2 Half Cent Penny those shoes were hot.Lebron admire his younger days to.

I used to like Malik Sealey (R.I.P) and Anthony Peeler when I was younger. They were underrated

    Emeka Okafor

Was 2nd in the NBA with offensive rebounds/game
Has played every game for the last 2 seasons
Averaged double double over last 5 seasons..only other players to do that are Duncan & Howard

Chris Paul is gonna make him look even better

every time I watched him play I was convinced he was going to be an allstar. Peeler lacked consistency.

Growing up I liked Penny Hardaway, it sucked that injury ruined his career like that. He was going to be an all time great. Reggie Lewis was a guy on the rise big time before he died. He had just made the first of many all star teams he would have been on.

I remember reading somewhere that MJ once said that Penny was one of the best/hardest players he ever had to guard.

Good to see Peeler getting some love. Early in his career, I thoght for sure he was gonna develop into an all-star. But there are a handful of players from the 90’s that probably don’t get enough love.

GHill was an in his prime legitimate MVP candidate when he succumbed to constant injuries. He was better then Penny and losing his prime years is truly robbing the NBA of what would have been one of the all time greats.

If I had to pick one pg, in his prime, in the history of the NBA, to lead my team, I would go with the Glove. Yes he really was that good.

Rod Strickland was always over looked.

Mitch Richmond was stuck for years on a bad Kings team and was arguably the second best sg behind MJ at the time.

    Gotta Agree with hardaway
He was probably the best point guard from when he was still playing
Great Passer, Great Scorer, Can Rebound, had injuries not piled up, he could still be playing now
and could be a hall of famer
Grant hill too is underrated, i mean yeah injuries didnt make him the player that he once was, but still,
hes still a starter, he can still give you 20 points in a game…

did that first post say penny beat chicago in the finals? i dont think that happened….but penny was awesome. i’ll never forget his sprite commercials

I think if it’s possible, Chauncey Billups is underrated… To me he has to be in the discussion with CP3 and DWill as the best PG. The guy doesn’t care about numbers- only wins.

I also think Battier- for the same reason… KG- for the same reason, and cuz he had little success in MN despite having no one on his team.

Detlef Schrempf was another underrated player he was a solid sixth man throughout his career… He was a pretty good 3pt shooter, a decent defender, and a good all around player…
