valentineThis team is dare I say it starting to turn the corner? Paige finally is running the team better and the offense misses him when Strickland runs PG. The offense is finally running through Bullock and Hairston with McAdoo playing more within himself. My question now is with the team playing well and seeing the prospects turn into players which player do you think has the most upside on this UNC team?
A case could be made for:
Bullock: Lethal 3 point shooter, solid defender and rebounder, close to no offense outside of 3 point shot, below average athlete
McAdoo: Great athlete, solid versatility, great upside, no defined position, lack of consistancy and toughness
Hairston: Lethal 3 point shooter, threat from all over the floor, great strength/upside, inconsistancy.
Tokoto: Freak athlete, good ball handler/passer, high bball IQ, a jumpshot that makes children cry, lack of agressiveness, weak.
James: Mobile, High Upside, Great Work Ethic, Solid touch, still learning the game, needs a mean streak, improve consistencyJust curious to hear what you guys think. Indulge me in this homer thread. Hard to chose.

rickybobbyParticipantAs far as skilled Pj has it all. He can get to the baskets using his strength, shoot, better defender than giving credit for, makes alot of hustle plays, solid athlete, good rebounder for his size. Whats holding him back from a break out year is his conditioning and consistency. If he was to get in better shape he could be a star type of player. If he attacked the basket more his consistency would also go up he settles for far too many contested jumpers.
But a guy you didnt mention, Joel James may be the best player down the line in my opinion. He has great size and strength, a soft touch inside and 10-15 ft away from the basket. Great work ethic shown by his weight lose, solid rebounder, once he gets his feet under him and learn to stay down on defense and stop fouling i can see him improving every year like Tyler Zeller did in his four years.

Wejustwin504ParticipantThis team is for sure turning the corner. Saturday against the woofies is going to be the real test thus far. In order for us to make the next leap, Marcus is going to have to score plain and simple. And can Brice please get some more minutes? He is automatic buckets when he is in the game.
Sidenote: Am I the only one who thinks the Heels have a strong shot at Wiggins? I personally think Roy lands the guy. Shout out to Joel Berry as well. Go Heels Go America.0 - Posted on: Thu, 01/24/2013 - 10:12am #741531
SiggyParticipantI think Joel James has the highest upside, but he’ll take the longest to develop since he’s still new to the game. I like his combination of strength, big frame, length and touch.

ncballerWejustwin, saw on a UNC message board some guy supposively knows Wiggins’ HS coach and the coach told him UNC was in the lead. Could you imagine putting paige hairston tokoto wiggins and hicks out there and just running up and down the floor with no mercy?

Wejustwin504Participantncballer, it would be incredible. a line up of Paige, Hairston, Wiggins, Brice, and Joel would probably be the case if Wiggins were to sign. That line up combined with Hicks, Meeks, Britt, JP, Hubert and Leslie. A lot of talent. Pre Season top 5 for sure.
