WizardofOzParticipantDavis showing some of that faceup potential. He takes up ground so quickly with his long strides.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantAnthony Davis a 6’10 Scottie Pippen?

river09ParticipantI’ve been continually impressed by Jeff Taylor. He can do it all. I can see him defending and playing both SG’s and SF’s in the next level. His athleticism is definitely pro caliber and he’s rivaling john jenkins for being the best shooter on Vandy… And John Jenkins is frequently referred to as being the elite shooter in college…

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIf MKG was a better ball handling and shooter,he’ll be in discussion for the 1st pick….
But his post game is already very underrated…

river09Participantwow.. reviewing calls.. If this game was at vandy no way they would have done that. I’d just say play on. Fouls are being a bit too picky to me..

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantMarquis Teague is impressive!!!! best PG prospect in the draft if he comes out.. Man that kid has upside

river09ParticipantJohn Jenkins is definitely a pro caliber SG with his quick release and killer attitude. Great movement without the ball and deadly coming off screens. He even plays with his head up, strikes me as a very high IQ player. IMO he might be the most pure SG in this years draft. It’s been too long since I’ve seen a SG who doesn’t need the ball in his hands 24/7 to be effective. But when the ball is in his hands he still has the ability to create his own shot or get to the rim. How high would you be willing to take him? Mid-End first round is acceptable IMO, I’d be shocked if he slips out of the first round.

FastAndFuriousParticipantBeen saying Teague has the most POTENTIAL, he may not be the best right now, but potential wise, he goes first in the NBA Draft this year.

mikeyvthedonParticipantHis best game of the year. I have really liked Davis for quite a while:
http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/anthony-davis-0
In the Hoop Summit, he impressed me with the incredible athleticism and speed for his size. Not to mention, he was unafraid of playing down low. Today, I feel like he did even more to solidify expectations that he is the likely #1 pick in the draft. I still love Andre Drummond as a prospect due to his even more rare size and athleticism, but Davis is clearly the better basketball player at this point.
I have questions of how he will handle the game physically in the NBA, but I feel he will be able to definitely more than hold his own in time. He just has great instincts and he could do very little wrong today. I seriously think Ezeli gave him some issues as far as defense, even with Davis getting 6 blocks. But, the way Davis was able to counter that on offense was incredibly impressive. Still not sure Davis is my NPOY, but he might have taken the lead over Thomas Robinson today. Robinson definitely will want to have a win and big game today over Missouri to counter.

BiggysmallsParticipantVandy may have been the best equipped team to beat Kentucky all year besides UNC. 3 legitimate studs, a handful of role players, good shooters, decent enough size to contend inside and experience and Kentucky just outplayed them.
The two wins over Vandy in my opinion are the most impressive wins for UK. Their defense is elite and it will keep them in games when their shooting is spotty. They also create alot of extra possessions with 4 guys who hit the offensive boards. I can’t stand Calipari, but damn they just win it all this year.
Davis played a really good game, but what the hell were the Vandy bigs doing? Idk how many times the commentator questioned why they were playing so tight. He made a couple outside J’s , but if I’m playing Kentucky, I’m living with him making those shots a couple more times instead of fouling him. His jumpshot is nice looking (which is should be considering he was a guard 2 years ago) and his handles are horrible, but he is so weak and really cannot take contact taking it to the hoop.
Gilchrast is a beast, he didnt have his best game (alot to do with Taylor) but he isnt going to have that kind of game very often and Kentucky showed alot being able to win virtually without him making a real mark.
Vandy is going to be a tough out this year I think. I picked them to go to the Elite 8 2 years ago when they lost to Murray State, and I think they could get there this year. Taylor is one of my favorite players in college basketball. He does it all (handles it well, he’s their best facilitator, really improved his outside J, plays good D, and rebounds). Jenkins can go for 30 any given half (yeah I said half) and they have a bevy of role players who can help. Ezeli is the x factor, he played well today, and is going to have to be big for them to go anywhere but I think he is definitly capable.
Really good game today…Looking forward to Kansas-Mizzou and UConn-Cuse.

scbe2223ParticipantIn the post game press conferences MKG says he’s graduating at UK, and not going anywhere. The press people started laughing at him, and he asked them what they were laughing about. Obviously I think he’s going pro, but he seemed pretty serious about staying after the game. I’ll try and dig up a link for the info

He will find out when the season over.

kaceyParticipantMKG will be headed to the NBA barring injury. He is saying what needs to be said. UK is geared up for a championship run and there isn’t any room for individual goals or future plans, and MKG gets that. As a UK fan it would be great if he stayed, but that is very unlikely.
Jeff Taylor looked very, very good. He has improved as a shooter and ball handler. He has the NBA build and athleticism, some team will fall in love with him in the early stages of the predraft workouts and give him a promise.
About time Davis starts making some midrange and outside shots. He has solid form and is locked in as the first pick of the draft. Kentucky boy Darius Miller stepped up late for like the third game in a row. I would love to see him get drafted.
Lots of solid UK alums were at the game today. Walter McCarty, Rex Chapman, Jodie Meeks, Josh Harrellson, and Stevie Johnson.

FastAndFuriousParticipantAlso it is well known that Cal pushes ALL his players who are top picks for the draft to go, he never makes em stay, he encourages them to go.
