yup. Im glad they released Kimbo. He was all hype and couldnt cut it. They paid him a lot of money and tried to pae an easy path for him to succeed becuse he draws fans, but he got striaght up exposed by B level fighters. UFC would have looked dumb searching or scrubs just so they could keep him winning fights no matter how much of a ratings draw he was.
As for Daley. I feel bad, but he has no one to blame but himself. I think a long suspension would have been better. Especially since the ufc has other fighters who have done similar things in the past. But you swing at someone after a fight, and you dug your own hole.
probably. I expect strikeforce will pick both of them up, and they should. Kimbo will draw ratings and there is already rumors of him fighting hershel walker. If they pick up daley, they will have an immediate title fighter who has not only an exciting style, but he is a well respected and legit ww who could headline events for strikeforce.
that would be nice. Fedor has 2 more fights in strikeforce. He's fighting Fabricio Werdum in a month or two (boring). Then he will potentially fight Alistair Overeem assuming overeem beats brett rogers. now that is a fight I really want to see. Overeem vs fedor would be sick. But after that, fedor had better come into the ufc. A lot of good matchups like brock, carwin, cain, dos santos.
it is widely specualted that he uses steroids and i dont doubt it. He grew like crazy from a lhw to a huge hw. And he fights almost strictly in japan becasue they dont care about steroids. However, he is actually fighting this saturday in strikeforce vs brett rogers and hopefully his piss tests clean. SHould be a great fight this saturday on cbs. Also, Andrie Arlvoski is fighting antonio silva and there is a good mw fight that i forget who it is.
what do you mean by small? Compared to the ufc, yes it is small. But they have some great fighters who make a lot of money and they put on shows around the country. They have a tv contract with CBS. They are probably the number 2 mma orginization in the world after the UFC. They get a lot of good fighters that the UFC does not pick up.
Fedor, overeem, arlovski, rogers, werdum, mousassi, King Mo, henderson, Nick Diaz, gilbert meledez, jacare...those are all guys the UFC would love to have. Im pretty sure the UFC will sign Jake SHields already.
sure it's not becuase he beat your boy gegard mousasi? Very close fight by the way. But gegard is too cocky and thinks he could win fights wherever it goes and mo took him down at will and kept him there. King Mo purposely acts cocky, its his thing. And he is a hell of an up and coming fighter.
