Gettin slapped by Iowa State 14-34
Iowa state is not missing! Dammit!
and F'ing drummond in foul trouble smfh
I cant believe it! Roscoe Smith did it again! He got the steal and heaved it half court with 5 seconds left just like he did against Texas! Here lies the problem with UConn, their average basketball player IQ is that of a 4 year old.
does Drummond still go #2 if UConn loses in the 1st match? This guy has been a huge disappointment this year for me. I heard about this guy since he was a freshmen in high school... he was hyped way too much. He's obviously not D12. He doesn't even look like Amare. I'm very interested to see if this kid can become even half the player everyone says he will be in the NBA. UConn just won the championship and the only real player they lost was Kemba.
How can UConn continuously just run Lamb off of a screen every time for the same 3 point shot in the same spot? Either that or have Napier drive. It is so predictable its sad. For how talented this team is, it is unbelieavable how little they show it. You got the most athletic player I have seen at the college level possibly ever that is 6'11 and 270 and it is hard to even notice him out there. Is Calhoun that bad at getting Drummond involved or is Drummond just that timid? Either way if I was Drummond I would get the hell out of Storrs, I do not see it helping his overall progression as a player. It is quite frustrating.
Drummond needs to start playing like a man. He's doing fine defensively but he needs to have a dunk everything mentality. Learn post moves later, use your athletic gifts to your advantage!
Even if they win I still don't really see him going at no 2.... (drummond)
Ryan Boatright stepping up BIG!
He reminds me of Kemba so much
He has Perry JOnes syndrome. It sucks because everyone would love to see these freakishly athletic 6'11 players dominate. I would feel more comfortable taking someone like a Tony Wrotten who has questionable turnovers and shooting then someone like Jones or Drummond who have questionable desire and passion for basketball and don't even really seem if they care if they win or lose. Not saying I'd pick him before them, but if they were similarly ranked. As much as I think I might even regret taking Davis number one because of how much potential Drummond has, I am starting to think that he may never reach that and he may be a risk even top 5.
And I think that's best for him...Lamb is gone but Napier may actually make the smart move and stay in college...
Uconn is the biggest waste of talent I've ever seen.
Drummond needs to stay another year. Honestly, UConn may have been a bad choice for him in terms of how he plays, he just doesn't look like he fits well in Calhoun's guard-centric system. I think if he comes out now, some team will take a chance on him based on potential, but I think he should at least stay one more year so he can develop both offensively and defensively.
Lamb is gone after this year. Napier and Lamb seem to be the only ones playing really aggressively (especailly Napier), but Napier could probably use another year in school- his PG skills aren't as good as his scoring skills.
But do you like him in Storrs? I do not think it is helping his progression to not even be getting the ball or used correctly. In most cases I would agree, but I think maybe he should just go to the pros and learn from a different coach. I do not like how Calhoun uses him at all. He is not Hasheem Thabeet, and even he got WAYYY more touches than Drummond.
I believe that he needs the ball more to be effective
there is no way im staying if im drummond... like ^ said, he needs the ball to score and he is not getting it. they don't feed him in the post where he can draw dbl teams and kick out, they don't even run pick and rolls for him... it's a disgrace
"Uconn is the biggest waste of talent I've ever seen."
I'm sure the New York Knicks would disagree.
It's close between the knicks and uconn. Regardless, you shouldn't lose by double digits to an 8 seed when you have 3 first round picks and 3 second round picks.
UCONN is a terrible place for Drummond, he needs to leave now because in the pros he should get more touches, Andre rarely gets touches in the right spots, and none of the big guys who stayed with Calhoun for a long time developed good offensive games, Drummond needs to get out of the guard-centric system as soon as possible.
Teams like UCONN just make me appreciate Calipari's teams more. Calipari is the best at getting the most out of elite recruits.
It makes you wonder would Drummond be the same player he is now if he switched places with Davis? I think he might be having a lot more success.
