I’m just curious has this ever happened before where the DOP only makes it to the 2nd team?

 Alvin Robinson and Dikembe Mutumbo for sure won DPOY but were on 2nd team defense. There might be other, but regardless it does seem ridiculous.

Makes no sence. If your the DPOY then your the best defensive player in the league for that specific year, meaning in Chandlers case the best defensive center in the league for that year. Not second. While i dont think Chandler is the best defensive player in the league this year or any year, it dont change the fact that he won the award.

Makes no sense, but something tells me this is just the coaches saying they don’t agree with the media’s pick of DPOY.  I’m still puzzled at Dwight Howard being on 1st team when he wasn’t really Dwight this season.

I was worried about this last week when we were posting our All-Defensive teams.

Well, the DPOY is voted on by the press.  The All-Defensive teams are voted on by the coaches.  So they aren’t the same voters.
