rickyD510Participanti’m not one to jump to any conclusions but, tyreke’s jump shot does look a lot better he no longer has the slingshot type release from the side of his head. see for yourself;

BasketBalAllanParticipantIt’s so good to see Tyreke now has a much improved form, aka he is not trying to fade away with every attempt. If he can keep that up he will be much improved this season with his outside shooting.

rickyD510Participanthis old jumpshot;
at the 0:20 sec mark
hopefully with his new jump shot he can get more easy buckets, but the only thing i dislike about the video is he’s shooting 3’s! i dont want him to end up like lebron with a 3point shot and no midrange0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/26/2010 - 9:32am #386259

Lotto StudParticipantIt still looks the same to me he just puts it over his head instead of behind it.

rickyD510Participantwhen a player comes into the nba and has a bad jump shot it’s very hard to start from scratch and starting from scratch can set the player back, the main point of emphasis or change in tyreke’s jump shot was making his shot go over his head not from the side
“I’m just trying to keep (the ball) in front of me as much as possible and keep the same release,” Evans said. “I’m getting the hang of it now. The shot’s falling, so hopefully I keep working hard at it and the shots keep going in.”
i cant post the article link because “it has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted”0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/26/2010 - 10:11am #386281

PureshooterParticipantI don’t think his jumper looks much different, and I don’t know that I’d be trying to mess with it too much anyway. It looks pretty consistent and fluid.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantLooks the same to me. If he has changed it, it remains to be seen because he’s shooting jumpers in practice. We have to see if he’s comfortable in a game with it.

jas225ParticipantThe form looks better, making for a smoother stroke. It is still a little slow on the release, but it should only get better with time. He is still very young and a very good basketball player.
I love seeing players not satisfied and doing what they need to get better.0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/26/2010 - 9:54am #386273

OhCanada-ParticipantIf he gets a jumpshot he will force defenders to play up close on him and his abillity to get to the rim will get even better.

Buckets RevengeParticipantDid’nt he used to fade away with his jump shot in games even when he was open?

SteroidParticipantLets see how well this new jump shot holds up throughout the season. It will be very tempting to revert back to his old jump shot when he struggles.

Buckets RevengeParticipantI think the point is, for the time being, that he is working on improving it, kind of like Rose’s three point shooting.

Bryant24ParticipantIt looks different but lets wait to he begins to shoot with that form on a consistent basis.

sc0rebuckets11Participantthat dip in his shot.. (before he brings it back to his shot pocket) , it’s gonna continue to be slow & inconsistent.
i know its a rhythm thing, but its gonna do more bad then good.
