jaycee24ParticipantDoes anybody think there are any teams out there willing to throw a bunch of money at Tyreke this off season? Haven’t heard much of anything as far as Sacramento’s plans in terms of an extension, but as a Pistons fan I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued with the prospect of landing Reke. Anyone have any thoughts or insight on the Tyreke Evans situation or any other upcoming free agent?

Memphis MadnessParticipantThe Pistons sound interesting for him. But, it really depends on what they do in the draft. If they get Trey Burke then I can see them looking in another direction as Tyreke is a ball dominant player who is best suited as a big point guard.
Now, if Detroit drafts Oladipo then I can see Tyreke Evans being a great fit there. Evans as a big lead guard who can slash, drive, and kick. Oladipo as a defensive 2 guard who gives them even more length. Then Brandon Knight would be a great third guard who can shoot and handle. That would be a very, very interesting, in unorthodox three guard rotation.
I would really like that offseason for the Pistons. Get 2 long guards who can drive and slash and score. They can’t shoot that well, but they have Singler for that as well as Brandon Knight. They have the two big men inside so their future core will be set.

Lotto StudParticipantDetroit makes a lot of sense but I also believe Phoenix would be a decent fit as well.

jaycee24ParticipantHonestly thats what I’ve been thinking all along. I think Otto Porter could be an even better fit in that rotation but I guess it all depends on their draft position

KayjayParticipantI’m hoping the Kings can resign him to a reasonable extension, or match anything people throw at him. I want most players back aside from (thornton, Outlaw, Hayes). I want him to have a chance in this new regime. His usage rate has dropped every season, and I really think the last few dysfunctional systems had a lot to do with his drop in production. I think Detroit is a place that might be interested in him and a couple other teams.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantDidnt the Celtics love him during his draft? They will need a PG while Rondo is out and he is good enough to do it and then move to the 2 when he comes back.

Sewok15ParticipantA backcourt of Rondo and Evans would be rough. They both need the ball in their hands to be effective and neither one can hit an outside shot to save their lives. Evans would be a much better fit in Detroit where he and Brandon Knight could complement one another better.

fcb206Participantyeah, you can’t have rondo and evans on the floor at the same time, Teams would just pack the paint and dare them to shoot it.unless you get weird with it and put a couple stretch 4’s on the floor to space it out. But the Celtics dont have that personnel.

fcb206ParticipantI wouldn’t say hes worth a bunch of money or a long term deal. He’s got a really great set of skills (size, athleticism, handles, vision, passing) but he really doesn’t understand how to play the PG position from a team perspective, and he’s not a good enough shooter at this point to play SG. He’s so talented and young that he definitely has some value, but he needs to put in work. Still has All-Star potential if he puts it all together. With a good coach and an established core of veterans around him, I could see him really thriving. The Kings are a mess.

CAROLINA BLUE NICKParticipantWhat about Dallas? With O.J. Mayo opting out of his contract I could see him fitting in their. The Mavericks need to start looking towards the future anyways and get younger. I don’t really see them landing Dwight or CP3. Another team would be Milwaulkee too since Ellis is leaving and they may lose Jennings. But I think Dallas would be a better fit for him. He would be playing with an organization that is use to winning and he could be the future of the Mavericks once Dirk retires.

jhbm24ParticipantI’ve literally said Evens to the pistons in like 4 other topics and I believe I even posted one, and every time I said that I got. Negged out the ass. How is it now everyone thinks it’s a good idea. Just shows me even more how this site is FILLED with bandwagoners..
And Tyreke would do well on the pistons…. That’s where I want him to go and think he should go, but the pistons won’t do it cuz they might be stupid and take Trey Burke and not see the potential of Knight and Evens as a backcourt.

Brennan23ParticipantI don’t know about you guys but Tyreke to the pistons is not a good fit IMO.
He reminds me of a Rodney Stuckey clone in a bad way0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/20/2013 - 9:57am #778329

Prime TimeParticipantEvans is twice the player Stuckey is, and I think Detroit would be a decent place for him to land.
I think he’d fit well on the Pelicans, too. Vasquez is not the long term answer for their lead guard. If they plan on developing Rivers, Tyreke could play well with him.

theballerwayParticipantDallas – they flat out need help, especially someone that can create a bit
Orlando – good place to rediscover his ‘Magic’ while keep the team entertaining wile they collect draft picks0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/20/2013 - 11:05pm #778659

JNixonParticipantEvans is a tough player to build around. He is a big talent, but he doesnt really play a winning style and his production has dropped because of constant coaching changes and the fact that teams gameplan for him and he hasnt improved on much to change their gameplans for him. He’s a big tweener guard who plays best dominating the ball, but not necessarily doing anything that will win you many games.

theballerwayParticipantcomes to mind again. Lance was ball dominant all his life but in Indiana that was never going to be the case. This forced him to learn the other nuances of the game and how to work off the ball. He wasnt a lottery selection and wasnt really needed by the team right away thus allowing him to develop. Tyreke played right away with the ball in his hands and year by year has been trying to figure out the other parts of the game and win while working ith DMC (talented but crazy and certainly appears to be more into numbers than winning) and a slew of coaches and had to play the 1,2 and 3 and still hasnt found a consistant jumper but because of the team hes on hes overly exposed.
If he was on a team where he could either go back to doing his – scoring guard thing in tandem with Nelson – Orlando, or a team like Dallas with established player(s) he would be able to thrive more i feel.
