i need your opinions on tyler zeller post game, which might be the best in ncaa right now. his hook shots are damn near unstoppable at college level if their falling. my thing is, with that skinny frame. he’ll struggle getting position in the post like that in the nba. but what if he puts on weight, could he develop the same offensive post game in the nba? where he can just be fed on the DL and turn right around for a quick hook shot…

Tyler’s post game is solid. He’s got a very reliable jump hook, but needs to continue to add more moves to his game to be affective in the NBA. At 7’0  250 lbs another 10-15lbs would do him justice especially if he wants to play Center, but is not necessary he just need to get stronger period. He going to be able to get position because he’s going to out runs everyone other bigman to the post. In a half court setting he going to have some problems against bigger players.

Scoring wise he’s going to get his in the NBA, he runs the floor, has a nice jump hook, gets fouled, hits his freethrows, and has a improving 10-15ft  mid range shot, and he want be the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd option on his team right away like he is at carolina now, so he doesnt have to worry about double teams or being one of the main focuses on offense.

He kind of reminds me of Pau Gasol in Size and height, and the way he gets it done in many ways, but he not as skilled offensevily and sometimes plays alittle soft in the paint. Im not saying he going to develop into a Pau Gasol but he gets it done in many ways like Gasol. And he also has that soft label that plagued Gasol earky in his career.

If he gets stronger and plays stronger in the post and continue to rebound likes he’s done this year he’s going to have a solid- to good  nba career.
