llperezLike the Slam site says, if you aren’t familiar with Tyler Honeycutt, start getting familiar

Mr. 19134ParticipantReminds me of Iggy….I didn’t know Honeycutt had that much skill with the ball in his hands, he is def on my radar now…Do you think he is a better prospect then Malcom?

llperezi didnt know he had that much skill with the ball in his hands either and im his biggest supporter. He almost never tried to do much off the dribble last year. He ususally just stood with the ball in his hands and read the defense looking to pass to teammates where i felt his passing was one of his biggest strengths. But according to Aran and the looks of this video, his ball handling and pull up game have been his main focus it appears.
As for is he a better prospect then malcolm lee, absolutley. Im thinking lee is a second rounder. Despite the occasional westbrook comparison, lee is nowhere near the athlete westbrook is. But really saying tyler is better is more a credit to tyler becasue i said back in february he was the best pro prospect in the pac 10 and im still sticking with that thought.
I expect about 14ppg 8reb 4apg and 2stls with 2 blcks. He really is that great a stat stuffer and was flirting with a couple triple doubles late last year. I still have one of his games saved from last season. He gets 4 points on like 3 shots, but he was completely dominating the game with 13 rebounds 9 assists and just an all around great presence controlling the game.

Mr. 19134ParticipantThey’re the type of players I love and the type of small forwards i prefer, i don’t necessarily like scoring small forwards that what a 2guard and a power forward is for small forward to me is like a glue position and I think I just discovered one of my new favorite forwards to root for. Ben Howland is notorious for hiding his talent I just don’t get it. Westbrook really shined in his rookie year, and Jrue really played against pros like he did as a H.S. senior like that year at UCLA didn’t exists.

OhCanada-ParticipantIdk why more people dont start commiting to UCLA. I also dont know why UCLA players are slept on so much. If you wnat to get to a prfessional basketball level UCLA is a Top 10 School to get you there. Great development going on there.

llperezyou guys are making me smile. Seriously, under howland, guys tend to not stand out in college as much as they might at other schools but they seem very prepared for the NBA. Jordan Farmar said that he came down to UCLA and FLorida and he said Donovan told him how he would be featured in the offense and be able to this and that to showcase his skills. He said all howland told him was if you play for me, you will play defense and you will win.
