First one is similar to what Dave Telep did a little while back, going over people from All-NBA Teams and All-Rookie Teams when they were HS prospects:

The Next one is of who they Rivals ranked as the top 12 most "hyped" (very subjective term) HS recruits in HS basketball history:

     http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1220869

They of course leave out OJ Mayo (who I knew about as a 13 year old and his website ojmayo.org), Sebastian Telfair (who I also heard about as a 13 year old) and even Stephon Marbury/Kevin Garnett (who both had monster recruitments).

Well, the point, which will probably be missed as usual, is not about who they leave off the list, but they are just giving you a glimpse of 12 guys who were big time names as HS recruits and got a lot of publicity before ever playing a post prom game.

It would be Stojakovic or Barea if someone does indeed step up. Dirk and Terry should get theres, and the question will be as to whether they can get consistent offense from Shawn Marion and maybe even a little more from Tyson Chandler. Still, if Dallas wins, I am guessing they will be outrebounding the Heat and hitting a good percentage of triples. Nonetheless, I like the Heat’s odds and I am going with them in 6. LeBron James has everything in place to step up his game to the level many know he can, and if he doesn’t than it will indeed be disappointing in my eyes. Think he and Dirk will be on their games, and it will be the contributions of role players that tilt the balance in one direction or the other. Miami wins the top 3, but Dallas has a number of weapons in the 4-9 range that could really make this series incredibly close.
