I am wondering what kind of value this guy has around the league. As a Wolves fan I don't see us needing him. He fits into the same mold as Jefferson and Love. If we are to add another big man it needs to be someone with alot of length and athletecism. So I guess this question goes out to fans of other teams. What would you be willing to give up in terms of a pick to get the best low post player in Europe?
There's a rumor going around here locally in MN where Pekovic is sent to Houston for the 14th, which supposedly is going to be used in a trade with Kevin Love for Anthony Randolph and the 6th pick.
Recently, we've heard a ton of rumors here locally involving all three of the Wolves' picks in some kind of three or four team trade to get Turner. The Wolves would then trade Pekovic to the Rockets for the 14th (Heard some heavy chatter this weekend about the Rockets not being able to resign Scola), where they would trade it with Kevin Love for Anthony Randolph and the 6th pick. Supposedly there was some noise about Sacramento passing on Wes Johnson for Greg Monroe, and the Wolves want to get both Turner and Johnson.
If all goes to plan, knowing Kahn, probably not, but here's what the team would look like next year, just players that would play signifigant roles:
I would love that lineup. You add Rubio and sign a FA who is a great shooter and this team could be ready to compete in 2 years. And who knows with all those young players we might be just bad enough next year to squeeze out one more lottery pick before Rubio shows up.
I don't have a problem with that team. Get Jefferson back to the PF and away from Center where he really isn't suited. Even if they can't pull off a trade for Turner they can draft Cousins and get Johnson or Aminu.
Jounson or Aminu/Gomes/Brewer
