stepback3ParticipantBoston get Chris Kaman and Chris Johnson.
New Orleans get Marcus Camby and Boston 1st rounder either its own or the Clips one.
Portland get Jermaine O’Neal and Brandon Bass
Boston gets some big man help and a competant scorer in Kaman. This gives them a chance to get a higher seed and try to avoid Chicago or Miami in the first round of playoffs.
New Orleans gets a First rounder and thats basicly it as Camby and Kaman have both got expirering contracts.
Portland gets a center who gets about the same minutes but isn’t as efficent but gets a good back up PF who can give Aldridge more rest in games.

omphalosParticipantWhy on earth would Boston give up a first round pick in this draft for Kaman? They need to get younger and start the rebuild, not going to happen if you give up first-round picks.

Meditated StatesParticipantThis draft will be helpful and they will have money to spend. Kaman is not worth a first rounder he is always hurt.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantNot every player in the 2012 draft is going to become Bill Russell… that being said Kaman is easily worth a pick in the 12-18 range. Look at the Celtics roster and tell me how many impact players they have that they have drafted themselves. I’d say 2.

Meditated StatesParticipantKaman is not worth a first round pic. The team needs youth not often injured veteran players. They drafted PP Bradley and Johnson is going to be good. Kaman is not worth that pic. He stays hurt and does not fit with the fast brake game they will employ for Rondo. Save the money and pics for a better an deal on draft night when teams are desperate.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantAny bonafide NBA starter is worth a 1st rd pick. The Celts would gladdly offer their 1st rd pick for Kaman if they knew for certain Kaman would sign.
The Nba draft is a crapshoot… all you have to do is look at the last 10 drafts and you will find less than 50% of first rd players ever end up as bonafide NBA players/starters… but hey if want to build around a bunch of Avery Bradley’s and Juan johnson’s god bless ya and good luck with that.
