this is an interesting concept. Not a good one probably but i still want to hear opinions.

Rockets get Carmelo – Paul Harden Carmelo with Gordon Ariza Capela

New York gets Monroe Middleton Teletovic and Dellavedova – NY gets rid of Carmelo, gets a veteran PG to teach Ntilikina, gets Middleton.

Bucks get D. Rose R. Anderson and some future picks from houston.- bucks are the clear loser here. But they get rid of horrible contracts ( however taking anderson in he is at least servicable and huge upgrade over teletovic) Anderson looks like having a place on their gameplan since they go for teletovic and beasley. They lose middleton but they can have a starting five of Rose Antetokoumpo Parker Anderson Maker with Brogdon Snell Henson and more cap space.

This trade is much worse for the Bucks than you think it is, because if you look at the contracts this summer, none of the Bucks have horrible contracts. In fact, I’d say they’re all good contracts. Dellavedova is getting paid 9 mil a yr while a guy Andre Roberson just got paid 10 mil a year and Nick Young will be paid 5 mil a year to play 8 min a game. Middleton at 14 yr is great contract considering Dion Waiters is about to make 13 mil a year and Otto Porter is about to make 26 mil a year. Greg Monroe at 17 mil a year isn’t a good contract but it’s not bad either. He’s reliable in a bench scoring off the bench role.  Teletovic is the only guy I won’t argue for at 10 mil a year.

Additionally, I guarantee many Bucks fans would rather have Delly than Rose coming off another knee injury.

The Bucks would get an F in this trade. Rockets get a B+. Knicks get a A.

If I were the Bucks I would have no interest in Rose — I’d rather let Brogdon develop. Ryan Anderson is a rich man’s Teletovic, but the upgrade is certainly not worth the cost of Middleton, Monroe & Delly.

Worst trade I’ve seen for Milwaukee. Not worth Monroe by himself, let alone Middleton who is by far the best player listed including Melo. Monroe has greatly improved defensively and a weapon off the bench. He’ll, I’d even seriously question losing Delly for this return.

New York owe Carmelo over 50 million dollars and it jumps to over 60 million for anyone to take him on. Good luck with that.
