What if the spurs decide to part ways with Kawhi Leanard and the cavs gave the first overall pick for him and Danny Green? The spurs would then select Nerleans Noel and have him pair up with Duncan while learning a few things. I could see him being a perennial allstar? Any thoughts are welcome
Yes that's a great idea trade the best young guy on your team who is playing well, plus your best 3 point shooter who's stepped up in the finals for a 205 pound PF who is raw and coming off ACL surgey. (note the sarcasm)
Heat lose game 1, they wanna make a bunch of trades. San Antonio loses game 2, they wanna make a bunch of trades. Coincidence? lol
Dude hes and athletic player who blew his knee out b4 he even finished his one and done at Kentucky..for Leonard and Green? That's basically their top two young players..and starters at that.
Seems like i reach because Tiago Splitter isn't that bad..If the spurs add anything its gonna be leadership or bench youth/scoring maybe a pf/c
Nobody would trade up to the top pick to get a player with a torn Acl..he wouldn't fit in anyways
So the Spurs should trade their best defender and one of their best shooters for a one and done athlete coming off an acl tear? That makes no sense at all, completely foolish...
How high is Leanards ceiling though? Tim Duncan is on his final legs and I doubt the team will be winning off of Leanards defense!
And if he can continue to make leaps on the offensive end, improve his shooting, continue to improve on taking it to the room.
His potential is endless, his ceiling is easily a sort of Defensive Superstar. Tim is far from on his final legs, he has barely any injury problems and Pops does well with his older players. Tim is still one of the best shot blockers in the game.
As well Green is still young and has the makings of a true knockdown 3 pt shooter.
The Spurs are also easily the best drafters in the league and can find talent with any pick in the draft.
I just see Tim Duncan and Pop turning Noel into a great great player, I think Leonard is solid but the spurs always find a way to make their role players look great. I think it would be easier to find a replacement for Leonard as well.
Idk if you've had a chance to seem him play but his stock is based on shot blocking and upside..he also played in a system where his type flourished hes not the star you have pictured in your head..there's no connection between he and Duncan or the spurs..
Yeah, San Antonio would be great for him. So they should destroy their franchise to help him develop? I didn't think the trade ideas here could get any dumber, but I was wrong.
We will see how dumb I look when Nerleans Noel shocks everyone and Leonard is a career 12 per game player. SMD
Only if you throw in Luke Walton.
