Raptors Get: Brandon Jennings, Stephen Jackson

Bucks Get: Leandro Barbosa, J.J. Hickson, Isaiah Thomas

Kings Get: Jose Calderon, Toronto 2nd round draft pick

    Why?

Raptors: Brandon Jennings becomes pg of the future, Jennings, Dreozan, Draft pick (MKG or Barnes), Bargs, Valanciunas as future starting lineup.

Bucks: Jennings made it clear he doesn’t really want to resign, Stephen Jackson also wants out.  Get a scorer to provide some offence from Barbosa and some young talent in Hickson and Thomas to start rebuild.

Kings: This one im least sure about… Hickson hasn’t been nearly as good in Sac as he was in Cleveland so move him to give more time for Cousins and Thompson to grow.  Calderon lets Tyreke play sg for now, while coaching Reke and Jimmer to become more "pass-first" orientated.

bucks are the team getting screwed. They would give up their best player and an up and coming young guy for 3 bench pieces who have very little probability of being anything more then bench pieces for their career. Even if jennings doesnt want to stay, they could find more for him i think

no way the bucks trade their 2 best players for barbosa, hickson and thomas.  skiles is a defensive minded coach and doesn’t want two undersized sgs and an offensive minded pf.  and i doubt jennings would resign with toronto anyways.  and i doubt jack would be happy in toronto either.  i do agree the kings need a better passing pg.

Do the Raptors know they’re being charged on two counts of robbery?

Steven Jackson is garbage though, an arrogant selfish player who gets 11 points on 36% shooting in 28minutes is the Bucks best player? The only reason I added him in is because Milwaukee wants him gone.  Jennings is the only valued piece that they are really losing.

I thought that as well but when you really think about it, it begins to make some sense.  They are young, they’re going to have a good pick this season to fill their SF weakness, and Toronto is a big market.  It’s an internationally recognized city.

This trade is ridiculous and one of the worst I’ve seen on this website but if Toronto can somehow get Jennings, I think he would sign there.

    Valaciunas
    Davis
    (MKG or Barnes)
    DeRozan
    Jennings

That’s a solid and young line-up that they can run with in a couple of seasons.

Not to mention, they’re going to have some cap-room this offseason with Barbosa, Carter, Magloire, and Buter’s expiring contracts.  That’s about 11m of cap room, plus the 6m they already have.  17m of cap room plus the MLE.  Like I said, if they can somehow get Jennings, not with this trade of course, I believe he’ll sign.

They have financial flexability, young roster, good pick this year, and it’s a big-market.

If the Raps threw in this year’s pick and a pick to swap in the future to Milwaukee, that isn’t a bad deal. Stephen Jackson doesn’t want to be there, thus, Milwaukee is gonna get 20 cents on the dollar for him.

Yea I agree it would make alot of sense for him to stay if it played out like that, i guess it would depend on where his priorities are, if he felt they could win there, if he felt the market was big enough, etc etc. Impossible to predict what somebody like Jennings is actually going to do, he may have sights set somewhere already (ala Miami’s big three). And I agree with your feelings on the trade, outlandish.

Jennings and Derozan are best friends, and Jennings has said before how much he loves the city of Toronto.  I don’t think the Raptors would have any trouble getting him to resign.

This trade is horrible but the thing about Jennings going to Tdot and resigning is not really an issue in my opinion. Jennings has constantly expressed his love of the city of toronto and if he had to be in another country to live it would be there. He also stated he always has soemthing to do there, plus hes friends with DeRozen. I wouldnt count against him staying there if he ended up there somehow….definately not with this trade though lol that is truely horrible.

i hate this trade mostly because milwaukee doesnt get anything in exchange for the guy whom they really wanna build around (jennings). plus tyreke and calderon in the same backcourt wouldnt work
