stepback3ParticipantPortland gets Lamar Odom & Robin Lopez
Dallas gets Marcus Camby & Luke Babbit
Phoenix gets Ian Mahinmi, Dal & Portland 2nd rounders
Dallas gets stronger defensively plus Camby has expiring contract inside of buying out Odom at the end of season. Babbits a throw in but could be useful as a back up SF.
Portland gets deeper and helps keep Aldridge’s legs fresh plus they still have a 7ft Center.
Phoenix already has its starting Center locked up for years to come so trading Lopez who is a RFA at the end of the season for a decent back up C and 2 second round picks isn’t bad.
Your thoughts.

gopack10ParticipantYou must be a Blazers fan.
Phoenix really doesn’t get anything out of this trade. Second round picks are a dime a dozen and can be had for virtually peanuts these days. Make one of those picks a 1st rounder (Portland’s) and I would think about it if I were them.
Dallas wouldn’t mind this deal because Odom really isn’t fitting in and Camby is a better fit alongside Dirk than Haywood is.
Portland gets the two best players here and only loses a 2nd round pick, a guard who likely won’t ever see significant minutes and an aging veteran center that rebounds.

JoeWolf1Pheonix’s 2nd unit of Price, Brown, Warrick, Morris and Lopez have been playing with some pretty good chemistry as of late. I don’t think they’d risk breaking that up for Ian Mahinmi and some 2nd rounders.
