Tracy McGrady just recently complained about his playing time and how he wants to help his teammates win. http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2012/02/tracy-mcgrady-frustrated-with-lack-of-playing-time/
The Man is constantly saying he still has some stuff left in the tank. He has played 14 minutes this game he has 0 points 4 rebounds 2 assists 0-2 from the field and 2 turnovers. He was a great player and I think a future hall of famer, but this man needs to retire he clearly doesn't have any of that athletic ability he use to have and can't even be a contributer of the bench. As I am typing this he just hit a 3 to shut me up of course but still I think after this year he needs to hang it up and call it a career and a good career indeed.
I hate when people judge people off of one good or bad game,
He has been a pretty solid role player and has been proving he has something lefted in those beat down legs
I agree you cant judge a player by one good or bad game but he is so inconsistant that it's just sad in a great career he has had
Larry Drew is limiting him so much, babying him to an unreasonable extent. He should be getting 20 minutes a night, he has shown he can produce and with our other wings being Radmonovic and Marvin those minutes should fluctuate to the upper 20's.
basically Hinrich took his minutes after coming back from injury.
So you're going to say this while disregarding
A) He's playing on a team that only plays isolation offense and he's not that sort of player anymore.
B) He's averaging 6.5ppg, 3rpg, 2apg in very limited and inconsistent minutes.
C) He was playing against the best defensive team in the league where his team scored 79 points, Joe Johnson dropped 12...
D) He had a statline of 6 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks.
I knew it wouldn't be long now that an ex-superstar might complain about PT... But it is true that Larry Drew haven't given him CONSISTENT minutes though.. I still think he can help the Hawks but not sitting on the bench for 44 minutes... well, tonight against Chicago he played 21 so I guess, it's all fine...
Like I said, Drew needs to be fired.
It's partly Larry Drew's fault but the bigger issue is with management, in particularly the person in charge of not bringing in new pieces. Every year the Hawks look the same. Add another big and get a healthy Al Horford and then make a comment about Larry Drew as the coach.
the way the season is , you can't play everyone the minutes they want every game because you have to rest players to stay fresh, Mcgrady is just being emotional and not looking at the big picture.
