breese227ParticipantMain reasons why Lebron will not go to the Lakers.
1.) Does not want to play with Kobe/enhance Kobe’s Legacy
2.) Mike Dantoni is not a coach he wants to play for
3.) Doesn’t want to be considered just another great “Laker” but would rather build his own legacy
4.) Most likely doesn’t want to move his family a third time in 5 years
5.)The allure of Money/location is a main draw for Laker free agents and neither will make a difference coming from Miami
6.)Has now one two championships and been to 3 Finals under Pat Riley. He’s not going to leave that for the Unknown of Jerry Buss’s son
He was loyal to a Cavs team that he didn’t even win anything with, so he’s not gonna be un loyal to an organization that gave him that and he considers a family atmosphere to go to someone who’s unproven as an owner.Main Reasons why Lebron will not go to Cavs
I think it’s more likely he goes here than anywhere else but not by much
1.) Micky Arison/Pat Riley> Dan Gilbert Cavs GM
2.) Wants the Ball in his hands, Kyrie needs the ball in his hands to be effective
3.) The roster hasn’t even made the playoffs, he’s in win now mode
4.) Miami>Cleveland city wise
5.) Kyrie is just as injury prone as D Wade
6.) People say the Heat are getting old but Bosh and James are the same age and is a better second player than anyone he had in Cleveland. Plus the spurs have been old and winning since Iv’e been in Middle school and I’m 27 now0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/09/2013 - 7:09am #817185

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantLeBron will go where ever he is comfortable/the money is. He will put very little thought into the things you discussed and it will about enhancing his brand, thereby his handlers will have as much to do with where he signs as to the things you mentioned.
Whatever city delivers the the largest brinks truck to his door will get him. He pertains to care about his legacy but the bottom line will be cash. He did it before and he will do it again and I don’t blame him for doing it.
The only things he cares about in a coach or GM is that they relize that they are just his puppets and that he pulls the strings. It was that way in Cleveland and Miami and it will be that way wherever he ends up next.
Any team that signs him will be able to attract other talent because most players see him as a easy way to be successful and make money without the frustration that comes with losing. For other players it’s like hanging out with the Rolling Stones or Beatles, and who wouldn’t want to do that to end their career(s)?

breese227ParticipantLebron signed for less with Miami than he could have with any other team so I’m not sure if your serious or if you’re just trolling.
He already said that no team could pay him his true value and makes more than any other athlete off of the floor.
At this stage of his career it’s about his legacy0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/09/2013 - 7:19am #817287

HobbyOGParticipantBron also said he would never leave Cleveland. so what’s your point??
“In an interview on NBA TV, James said, “I got a goal, and it’s a huge goal, and that’s to bring an NBA championship here to Cleveland. And I won’t stop until I get it.”

WITNESS2014ParticipantIf Cleveland shows they are a playoff team this year and he feels he can put them over the top then yea I could see him coming back. Could you imagine how big it would be if he returned to the Cavs and just won one? Words cant explain how big of a deal it would be. The fact that wade is getting up there in age doesn’t help the Heat’s chances either. None of us will know until next summer if he even opts out.

jonus grumbyParticipantYep Cleveland could not put talent around him while he was there so he leaves and Cleveland stinks so they get very high draft picks who get to play a couple of years and just as they are getting good LeBron could go back and have a good chance to win there.

Toronto16ParticipantIf he leaves Miami, the only team he can go to without receiving backlash would be the Cavaliers.

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantI don’t see him staying with the Heat, he realizes he almost didn’t win that ring this year because of Wade’s knee’s and Bosh’s sudden tendency to stay at the three point line or not even try to score. He’ll go wherever he thinks gives him the best chance to win a ring, and I doubt that’s Miami.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantThe fact is with the cash LeBron James creates any NBA owner would give him the keys to the place and let him call the shots. The owners might not want it to be known but James is a cash cow to whatever team gets him to sign on the dotted line.
