TyroberParticipantluke babbitt at 8.9? Babbitt is a solid player but he is going to have a tough time cracking the rotation in his rookie year. Look how long it took bayless

RUDEBOY_ParticipantDaaaaam..i might the only person on this site..that believes Wall will average 20 points a game next year..
Wall’s speed, ball handling skills….will allow him to get any where he wants to on the floor…..
Flip Sanders is an excellent offensive coach and Wall is going to thrive in that offense…
and if given the minutes..Babbitt could average about 16 a game next year…

omphalosParticipantUnless Arenas is traded Wall won’t get 20 ppg his rookie year. Blatche and Arenas will carry the scoring load and Wall will probably be 2nd or 3rd option on offense. That said, he’ll probably average around 18ppg with at least 8ppg in transition alone.
I actually think Griffin will lead rookies in scoring this season with Cousins a close second. Greg Monroe will be top 4 in apg too. Babbitt is getting too much credit also.

JoeWolf1@Tyrober, Portland has tons of guards, Babbit isn’t in the same situation as Bayless, but with them losing Webster there are more minutes at small forward. I expect Batum to have a bigger role with the team, but Aldridge, Pendergraph and Cunningham are all primarily power forwards and Batum is the only true 3 on the roster. I think he’ll get plenty of time at the back up 3 and a few minutes a 4. I think 8.9 is pretty doable for him in probably around 18-20 mpg.

I also think Griffin will lead all rookies in scoring.

HitsterParticipantGriffin and Wall are the logical choices to be top rookie scorer but I tend to favour Wall because as Washington’s likely ball carrier he can control the play whilst Griffin has to wait for a scoring PG like Baron Davis to feed him and Chris Kaman will also need his fair share of shots more so than Andre Blatche.
I’d say 15ppg for Griffin and 18 ppg for Wall, I could also see Wall pushing 9 or 10 apg with having Arenas, Howard, Blatche and even feeding ally oops to McGee.
