I hate to say it guys, but i think gasol is overrated. when its crunch time and he needs to make a free throw, he can’t do it. if bosh, stoudemire or dirk were in his shoes, they’d all perform better than him. to be honest, i think all of the other pf’s on my list would be an upgrade over pau, but since he’s performing for my lakers right now, i can’t put him that low.

don’t like placing a guy so high on the list, if he doesn’t hit the boards consistently. The reason why I put STAT a little further down.

I’m just going to write a few comments on why I rank the players the way I do. In no way is this supposed to be an in depth analysis. Just some things that come to mind, positive or negative, when I think about that player.

Gasol-best passing big, not physically imposing but more than makes up with it his post game, 15ft jumper, good rebounder(remember he has Bynum, Odom to share the paint with), above average defense.
Bosh- Good all around PF. Good skill set, but average D
Dirk-Most versatile at PF in terms of offense, but not a good defender
Duncan- He still can quitely get a 20-10 game considering his age. Always been a good low post defender and rebounder. Not as good of a passer as Gasol, but I’ve seen him do some nifty passes.
Stoudemire- Explosive offensively, consistent 15-18ft jumper, doesn’t show up on def even though he is athletically gifted to be a defensive low post stopper. Lacking in rebounding somtimes.
Boozer- decent scorer and good rebounder. His strength makes up his lack of height at PF. Not a shot blocking threat whatsoever.
KG- He can’t do the same things he used to do, but he still can score and play reasonable D.
Jefferson-overlooked a lot, but he puts up good numbers when he is healthy.
J-Smoove- Can’t believe no one mentioned this guy. He’s the wild card on my list because he has a lot of potential. He can do everything above average except score. He can guard 2 maybe 3 positions, and good athletic defender. I don’t think his mind is there yet…
David Lee- Good rebounder with a respectable mid range game. I would want this guy on my team for sure.

    notable mentions: Z. Randolph..

    Ok guys…

Gasol is a great player but please dont say he’s better than Bosh…Once Bosh goes to play on an American team that gets alot of American broadcasts I gaurentee everyone wil lsay he is the best PF in the league. Its not his defense that makes people say hes a bad defender because he plays amazing man to man D with any PF in this league and is an exceptional weak side help defender.Chris Bosh is an average player strength wise and on a team like the Raptors with no true Center and the only banger or any presence of grit was Reggie Evans.

I gaurentee if you put Bosh with a strong 7-foot banger at Center (like Haywood) he will be All NBA First Team.

Before his first injury when the raptors where in 5th in the East he was hands down All Nba First Team,
