The trade that was to free up cap space also freed up Tony Wroten. I was worried he was going to be buried at the end of the bench with Selby but he's finally getting some playing time this week and showing what he's got. His basketball IQ is much higher than I remembered and he's playing with confidence. He's not lighting it up or stuffing the stat sheet but I'm looking forward to this guy in the future especially if he works on that jumper in the offseason.
Jerryd Bayless and Chris Johnson (on a 10 day contract) are also making the most of their opprotunities after the trade.
Darrell Arthur is making the most of his opportunity as well. Now that he is healthy hopefully he can stay on the court. He will be a great 6th man if he can stay healthy.
I love Wroten, had he stayed in college I think he could of been a top 5 pick in this draft because with Ross gone you gotta believe Wroten would be lighting up the Pac 12 this year and would probably of won Pac12 player of the year.
has to be considered one of the worst drafts ever. Victor Oladipo is better now than Tony Wroten will ever be.
Basketball IQ, which has to do with
Decision making, including
Shot selection, which leads to
Shooting percentage. Then you have
All those categories favor Oladipo. Ball handling is a toss up. Edge in passing to Wroten.
Wroten is 19. Oladipo is 20.
Why is this even a question?
What are you serious? Tony Wroten is a 6'6" PG with elite physical tools and uncanny court vision. Yes he's turnover prone, and isn't a great outside shooter yet but any elite guard prospect whose 19 is going to have similar holes to their game.
What makes such a different prospect then Tyreke Evans who went 4th?
i always loved him as a top10 pick and i still do as a still 19year old he looks ready, he scores with out any fear and his passes are just coming to shine, also i see some defensive potential.. he can be something really good
