Since the Grizzlies are trading Wayne Ellington, and Josh Selby could this mean more PT for Tony Wroten I sure hope so he's my favorite rookie. I think the Grizzlies will try to trade for a veteran or sign Delonte West. Wroten hasn't really gotten any significant minutes this year but he is averaging 16ppg 3rpg and 3apg in D'league shooting 41% from the field,33% from the three not mind blowing stats but solid for him considering shooting is one of his biggest weaknesses. Here's video from his first time getting more than 10 minutes against the Clippers.
just posted links I don't know how to embed videos.
I doubt he sees an uptick in minutes at all. He's not ready to contribute to a playoff team. The Grizz are trying to fill the perimeter voids on their roster via FA right now.
Shooting 41% in the league is pretty bad. Wrotten is not NBA ready, he averaged almost 5 turnovers a game in college. He has great tools but is not ready to contribute especially on a contending team like the Grizzlies.
I know that I was talking bout him shooting 33% from the three point line shows improvement from him.
I saw that Clippers game and Wroten looked more ready to be an NBA point guard than Selby did. He was committed on the defense end and made some great passes as you can see in the video.
There were no minuted for him,he only managed a mere 4 a night..........He didnt have the outside shooting to play the sg,and Bayless and Allen spelled Conley at the point...
But With Ellington gone,Bayless might play the 2 more and Wroten might see an uptick in his minutes, until whoever they bring in gets use to the system.....
I loved wroten in college..... coach hollins still needs to sit his ass on the bench tho... I don't trust a 19 or 20 yr old PG one yr removed from college and when in college made many questionable decisions with the ball and still cant shoot.... the grizzles are tryna to contend.... his upside is superb.... his time isn't now... im sure he will get some minutes but little
He got talent, lets hope he could end up in team where he could fight for al least back up pg and he could be starter. I look at lakers now..they need a young athletic pg that can defend, wroten is that guy,but i don't think this deal would ever happen
