I don’t know much about him..I watched a couple New Mexico games this season but his name never stood out. I am wondering why he is so high on a lot of draft boards and am interested in where y’all see him landing.

He’s an athletic 6’7″ with some serious defensive potential and an improving outside shot. 3 and D players can always find a roster spot and are usually pretty low risk picks. Snell is probably a guy who will help his cause during the combine. Think Jimmy Butler.

I think he’s a early to mid 2nd round pick..On offense he’s little too 1 dimensional for me..But he’s a good shooter, a good defender and an underrated passer..I read that 76% of his points came off catch and shoot situations..He’s a poor rebounder ,needs to add some muscle and he’s an average ball handler….He reminds me of James Jones of the Miami Heat….

  Snell is a better 3 point shooter than JB was coming out of college, but if you’ve noticed, JImmy has really settled in as a 3 point shooter during his 2nd season. He’s been over 40% during the playoffs and was bout 38% during the regular season.

    no, i totally get what youre saying. in fact, i think Butler will be the starting SG for the Bulls going forward. i just get reminded more of rasul butler when i think of Snell who was had good physical tools and potential to be a defender role player in the league while being a catch and shoot option from deep. rasul butler wasnt thought of more or less than that and i believe Snell fits the same mold.

      I hear you, I think J.Butler has a higher ceiling than Snell too, because of his intagables. I think Rasual is a pretty good comparison too, the other guy that came to mind was Brandon Rush.

Snell fits clearly into a role. You can watch the playoffs and see where he could fit. Anyone who watched him during the season knows that he is a really good shooter from the corners, and that is a big asset to have for someone who will not be a primary scorer in the NBA. He is not a bad shooter from the wings, but he is better in the corners and that is where guys like Battier, Leonard, Pondexter, Sefolosha etc make their career (obviously with various degress of success). He is a tall, athletic, and reportedly has a 7-foot wingspan so he has great potential defensively. He will need to get stronger to guard the stronger 3s, but he certainly has the length and athleticism to handle a 2. I think a team can plug him into a rotation right away, and then also have upside with him to grow down the road because he can handle the ball, create for others, and get a shot off the dribble. Once he gets to the NBA, I don’t think he does that until he establishes himself as that corner threat and defender, but it is there for down the road. How highly he goes still depends on a lot of things, but it should not be
