valentineHow do you guys feel about Tony Mitchell from North Texas? I was very high on him before the season, but after he was out all that time I kind of forgot about him. But he has been very productive since returning going for 16.1 points 10.4 boards 1.6 assists 1.1 steals and 2.9 blocks while shooting 61.4% from the field and 50% from deep. Do you guys see him as a lottery pick. Could he be a one and done this year? I see him somewhat as a mix of Tyrus Thomas and Derrick Williams.

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantI really wish North Texas was on T.V. at least once so I could see him play. Just watching highlights of him though he looks like he is very athletic and his 50% from three and a solid FT% at 73% makes me think that he is more than just a dunker. I really don’t know if he leaves this year though, I read an article about him and he said that he is not even thinking about the draft and just wants to play again. I know some peoples minds change when it comes time to enter the draft, but after all he went through in recruiting and missing about a year an a half of school basketball it makes me think he is going to stay. When he does decide to leave though, which I think will be for the 2013 draft I see him as a lottery pick.

apb540ParticipantI catch a lot of North Texas’s box scores cuz I like to bet them and Mitchell has had some big games this year. Only problem is I haven’t gotten to see him play. Off college numbers and high school highlights alone thou I think he certainly has mid-first round potential.

Future_Scoutthis guy stats are off the charts! i had him top 3 in 2nd round but now he needs to crack the first round.
who else is averaging 3 blocks, 1 steals and shooting 43% from downtown? this guy can do it all.
if anyone can develop a little more on his game… it would be much appreciated!

butidonthavemoneyYou can read the site’s profile on him, if you haven’t already. It was updated a few days ago.

FastAndFuriousParticipantWowwwwwwwwwwwwww some of his games have been MONSTEROUS:
14pts,10boards
34pts,16boards
21pts,13boards
16pts,11boards,5blocks
17pts,12boards,4blocks
21pts,15boards,6blocks
22pts,20boards,6blocks
18pts,15boards
13pts,16boards
And he still has some games where he scores double figures and pulls down 6-8 rebounds with 2-3 blocked shots.
Big fish in small pond, but still his numbers are really good.

butidonthavemoneyMitchell actually does most of his scoring in the post. He’s more athletic than most of the bigs in the Sun Belt conference, so it’s fairly easy for him to face up and get to the rim in one or two dribbles. He doesn’t have NBA skills down there yet, but he could eventually.
