MalcolmxParticipantThis was one of my favorite players when he was in college. I think he declared way to early. Does anyone remember him and do any of you think he would of made it to the league this year or in last years draft by now?He would be a senior right now if still in college.

Lotto StudParticipantI liked him as well, TMG had the talent to make it to the league. It was just too much going on at OU because Warren and Gallon left that year too.

DatboythereParticipantHe really needed to work on his pg skills. More college experience would have done him well. Hell of a scorer. He dominated 5A basketball in Houston, one of the underrated hotbeds for b-ball. Him and Tiny Gallon came out way too early. We would for sure of had a longer NBA career if he waited until last year or this year to declare.

SiggyParticipantI don’t think he would’ve made it. Too small and unathletic, not a good enough playmaker.
Didn’t he get cut by a D-League team? That should tell you about his ability.Willie Warren OTOH, he deserves another shot.

FastAndFuriousParticipantSaying Griffin-Mason could have made it to the NBA isn’t actually crazy, he averaged 14 and 5 as a freshman had a sick handle and could shoot the 3(43% on 5 attempts)….He just came out to early.

ilike.panochasParticipantHe lacked proper conditioning, was limited both size and athletically, those are huge/important areas that he lacked. Every time I think of Mason-Griffin, I can’t help but think of Khalid El-Amin.

Scotty5000Participantwow, there are some blast from the past Gallon, Warren, Griffin…..all are prettty much done with the NBA at such young ages. Poster boys for the do not go early group.

JoeWolf1I was not a fan of his, to be honest. He was an absolute chucker, and at around 5’10” without true point guard skills, I think his NBA impact, even as an upper classman would have been minimal. I thought he was a poor man’s Sherron Collins, who did stick it out and become more of a point guard, yet still failed to play more than a season in the NBA.

SiggyParticipantFor all the older heads, to me he was a poor man’s Steve Logan

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantMason-Grifin had knee surgery last August and missed this season. He was the backup point guard for Ratiopharm Ulm prior to getting hurt.
