If they can convince Rubio to come over, trading the 1st pick for maybe some later first round picks and talented role players could be the best possible move for them. They can't keep chopping and changing their lineup and there aren't enough minutes to develop all these high draft picks. Unless they give up on Beasley (a mistake in my opinion), or Rubio (another mistake, they need a pass-first PG to feed Love, Beasley and Johnson in the right spots), or Milicic (who is probably a better legit C than anyone in this draft) their lineup is set, and depth and a coaching change is all that is required.
omphalos are you seriously suggesting that you have a better chance at winning with role players than with stars? Irving is really the only choice at #1 unless you believe in Kanter. I see no difference between Beasley and Williams and since we have Beasley already...
Williams is more athletic and take smart shots like posting down his man . Beasly pulls up dumn shots. He doesnt look for the pass but the shot all times. In this offense you must pass the damn ball. The reason Wesly Johnson wasnt doing work like that causse Beasly wouldnt pass the ball to him but look to shoot the ball before a pass.
Derrick Williams doesnt take dumn shots only thing negative about him is when he gets in post shot form he doesnt really passs the ball out. But in are syetem he have too. Beasly doesnt like to post up only on smaller players. And he is skinny to try to post up on Lebron ,Carmelo and them. Only a Paul Pierce lol Alsoe Derrick Williams plays aggressive on both ends of the floor that means he plays hard on defense and offense. Again Defense Beasly doesnt play really good on defense in the 3 spot. But good at the four. Williams doesnt have the speed to keep up with faster Sf but on offense he would do damage too smaller Sf from the way he musles into the paint. And even on guys bigger then him Williams knows how to draw the foul on his oppent . =) when dealing with a good defender.

This would give us a scorer and a defensive C. And veteran in Samuel Dalembert
Also with us getting Marcus Thorthon we dont have to go after J.r Smith.
And with us giving up Micheal Beasly we can select Derrick Williams Im telling all you Derrick Williams are man.
We cant go wrong with selecting this guy . We have a PG. ( Ricky Rubio) . and a solid bench in::::
Anthony Randolf, Wesly Johnson,Luker Ridnour,Darkio Milic,Martell Webster
This is a solid bench for are Timberwolves. We have two defensive Centers in Darkio and Dalembert
And two off the bench scorer's in Wesly Johnson and Martell Webster.
And a potiental starter but will come off the bench ,and will bring alot to the team (Anthony Randolf)
And with a veteran PG in Luke Ridnour that can help out the Spanish player Ricky Rubio. AND KNOCK MID-RANGE jumpers .
Also with the addition too Derrick Williams he would be a hard worker who would show the potential to be a leader. He wants to play and he wants to win . And he would do fine in the triangle offense . Even better then Beasly . Cause of his ability to post up and have the abilty to score in the post or dish out to his teammates for the shoot . With us having Marcus Thorton , Wesly Johnson, Martell Webster, and Kevin who can knock down the 3 ball yeah . we will be a nice threat all during the game on offense.
Defense we will be better cause of the new addition of Samuel Dalembert. And Derrick Williams
this team can probably actually make the playoffs next season . Cause 7 team are not gonna have the same effect they had this season. So if things go well we might find are way at number 7 or 8.
ROTATION:
1.Ricky Rubio, Luke Ridnour(veteran),Sebatian Telfair(veteran)- these vets would help guide Ricky Rubio
2.Marcus Thorton, Martell Webster,Wayne Ellington- Scorers all around. And a threat to opponets
3.Derrick Williams, Wesly Johnson,Lazar Haywood- A nice athletic selection of forwards who can score and get rebounds. Derrick Williams would be a main guy at the 3 spot . during games. Wesly Johnson would be a nice piece off the bench for us. Also Derrick Williams would post up his man like Carmelo Anthony.
4.Kevin Love, Anthony Randolf, Anthony Toliver- Nice thats all im gonna say we have a defensive forward in Randolf and a guy who can stick a 3-5(SF,PF,C) on the court and who can take the ball up court and play a Point Forward for us. And with Toliver we have a guy who can knock down shots also when we need Love and Randolf too rest.
5.Samuel Dalembert, Darkio Milic, Nekio Poli.- A nice set of defensive big man. Darkio might be mad cause he is riding the bench again but he had his chance and now he must ride the bench a play a huge role for us when Dalembert is not in . He wont be too mad cause he still will see some playing time.
