I could see him go to several teams

8 to The Kings who need a good PF next to Cousins

9 to The Raptors who need a good PF next to Jonas Val

13 to The Suns who need a PF next to Len

Any if those picks would be enough IMO to land Thad, who I’ve always loved…

Hell even Minnesota could use him as a PF next to KAT especially if they don’t want to develop a Bender/Chriss/Davis or even a Sabonis/Ellenson…I also believe Murray and Dunn are gone by the 5th pick, Buddy or Thad???

Minnesota’s first Thad Young experience didn’t go very well. Have a tough time believing they give up a top 5 pick to give him another shot.

Thad was traded by T-Wolves to get KG back home so I don’t see them offering up a 5th pick for him.

It’s fairly hard to work out Thad’s trade value, he’s not a superstar or even a great intangibles player but he’s a consistent PF who is very durable only just turned 28, has a reasonable contract and has two years guaranteed left on his deal.

I still stick to mid to later first rounder for him.

One idea I’ll put out there is would Chicago look to flip Taj Gibson for him as Thad is 3 years younger and Nets would only have to play one year on his deal. Maybe Nets get right to swap picks with Chicago next year after Celtics have swapped picks with them. So Celtics take Nets pick, Nets take Chicago’s pick, Chicago take Celtics pick if draft works out that way.

Could Brook Lopez be in play too, he’d certainly fetch a decent package for the Nets.
