Just a few days ago I did a post on LSU’s Tasmin Mitchell and few people didn’t know who he was. With his 41 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks performance he did against Mississippi State last night, everyone should know his name by now. =)

I literally was JUST about to make a posting about this Don, he was an absolute BEAST last night!

It’s crazy how Tasmin Mitchell and Marcus Thornton are playing their butts off and have LSU at a SEC best, 20-4 record, and they still get no pub. Thornton at least is on few draft boards, Mitchell isn’t on any, not even for the 2010 draft. I think Tasmin Mitchell is a better prospect than Tyler Smith, Damion James, and DaJuan Summers. He’s a first round pick in my book.

I know! They get no credit whatsoever and yea personally I would probably draft Mitchell ahead of those other guys, they’re all nice players but still I would rather have Mitchell.

He played super good last night..I think he might hav the juice to compete with thornton as the best player on LSU. haha, I had no idea he had that kind of game in ’em. He should get late 1st early second round love soon

people are forgetting that he was a mcdonald’s all american…and marcus thornton from belaire high school is just a beastly scorer..he’s a legit 6-3 with one of those strong bodies about 210…definitely a pick this year with a good camp, he may be able to work up to early 2nd or late 1st

I haven’t watched too much of Tasmin Mitchell this season. But a few years ago when he played beside big baby and TT (tyrus thomas) he was amazing, then he got injured. In terms of him being a first round pick, i dont think he will or he should. He is very affected, but his foot speed will be a true concern in the nba. Also, what position is he, even though he is a SF he doesn’t have the necessary tools in order to be an effected small forward worthy of a first round pick. Also, you do not see the development in him that you can evidently see in people such as tyler Smith, Damion James, and DaJuan Summers and his athleticism is no where on the same level as those guys. Dajuan Summers is being held back by the Georgetown style of offense, as was noticeable with Jeff Green. Tyler smith has a real good basketball IQ but just hasn’t developed a consistent outside j. Damion James has gotten better every single season, with his range extending also.
