MJBrownParticipantSo last year, SAS seemed to surprised everyone by making Cory Joseph a first round pick. I’m from Toronto and I can tell you, it was mayhem here when that pick was made. Who is the lowest guy on your board that you can say you wouldn’t be surprised if he sneaks into the first round.
For me, its Scott Machado. I have him pegged at 41 right now, but there seems to be so much talent late this year, the guy one gm has at 45, someone else might have at 25. I was also reading that there are some GMs that really like Hollis Thompson from G’town. I have him at 56.
Who are your potential surprisers?

mosdefParticipantJon Jenkins Vanderbilt or Khris Middleton Texas AnM

FearTheStacheParticipantKhris Middleton/William Buford. Bulls need a SG

JoeWolf1There are a few big wings, that may get teams thinking about future scoring potential, who can create their own shot may be taken in the 28-30 range.
Alex Young, Kevin Murphy and Orlando Johnson could sneak in to the first round if a team is searching for a guy to create his own shot off the bench.

JM40ParticipantHere are a few names I’ve heard as "sleepers" that might be selected from picks 20-30:
1. Draymond Green (I have him at 36)
2. Will Barton (I have him at 33)
3. Robert Sacre (I have him at 42)
4. Darius Miller (I have him at 46)
5. J’Covan Brown (I have him at 50)
6. Jared Cunningham (I have him at 51)
7. Tyshaun Taylor (I have him at 40)
8. And the real "sleeper"…….I have seen some scouts like Euro prospect Furkan Aldemir late in the 1st, I have him at 52.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantI could see a team falling in love with Alex Young’s (#50) scoring ability in the late first.

SpacegrassParticipantDrew Gordon jumps barely into the 1st round and goes 30th to Golden State.
Jeffrey Taylor falls to the middle of the 2nd round as well.

MagikKnickParticipantThis draft is loaded with wingmen, they’re taking up a good percent of the 1st round
With that being said, I can see a team whos comfortable with theyre wing situation reaching for a big man…so I can see Drew Gordon and/or Kevin Jones going in the first round

FUNKYBUNCHParticipantAndrew Nicholson doesn’t have the highest ceiling, but is NBA ready though. If a team needs a banger like that they may pull the trigger in the first on him.

mamadouParticipantO’Quinn and his 7’5 wingspan to the warriors.
Depends on the jazz pick too, they could be primary gamblers on PJ3 at 6-7th.

JrbenzCuse23JoeWolf how the hell am I supposed to take you seriously when you updated your mock today and have Dion going 27th? LMAO do you know a SINGLE thing? Being honest here
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 10:46am #674802
JoeWolf1No, I don’t know a single thing. I placed 7th last year in the mock draft contest and 23rd the year before on this site because I’m an idiot.
The draft is a month away….
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 10:52am #674805
JrbenzCuse23Well the fact that you have him going 27th is absolutely ridiculous. And just because you dedicate all your time to studying mock sites doesn’t mean you know anything it means you are good at copying. ESPN.com has the lowest he could possibly go as 13 and you have him at 27 lmao. You just lost all credibility in my eyes. Also fab will go higher than 26. Anti Syracuse i take it? Mark my words in both instances, a "whole month" before the draft.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 10:53am #674807
JrbenzCuse23And for the record, I don’t give any credence to those mock draft results or whatever you just quoted considering 90% of the people i’ve seen on this site are idiots and at least 50% don’t submit a mock draft. You are competing against handicaps more or less. Dion Waiters 27th. LMAO. The heat wish.

JoeWolf1We’ll you got me, I took spent about 3 minutes subbing out some 2nd rounders this morning and forgot to address your man crush, Dion Waiters.
You’re 100% right, I have no original opinons. I copy everything, and would have gotten last place if everyone filled out a mock draft.
Where is yours? I would love to see what a credible poster’s mock looks like, so I can learn in my quest to gain respect from Syracuse fans.

JrbenzCuse23Lmao this must be Joe Wolf life he get so defensive/sarcastic if you question him or call him out. Sorry my bad, thats exactly where he belongs, you’re right im wrong. Obviously its where YOU think he should go though.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 11:40am #674834
JrbenzCuse23I mean that is where you think he should go. You wont see him again and he wont play any more games, so if he jumps on your mock it will just be copying what other people say or report. That makes you soooo knowledgeable on basketball. Lol goon
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 11:54am #674844
JoeWolf1Sorry man, if you’re going to call me out for an unfinished mock draft that is not 100% updated, the best you’re going to get is sarcasm.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 12:00pm #674848
JrbenzCuse23Obviously you put him at 27 at some point stop trying to act like you didnt lol so any change from that will be based on things that somebody else says. There is no getting around that. After the season you thought he should go 27. Just a pretty bad bad evaluation on your part and u seem to fancy yourself an expert or something so just had to call you out. Thats my main problem with this forum, i see so much regurgitation and so little original thought.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 12:13pm #674851
JoeWolf1Sure, he’s at 27 on my unpublished list of names. I move people around all the time. The lottery, combine and team workouts haven’t even happened, so to think me putting Waiters at the end of the first round in May “prove” I know nothing, then there is little point arguing with you.
NBA teams lists change drasticly in the month leading up to the draft. It’s not just me, it’s just part of the process. Again, where is your mock draft?
Im not Aran Smith, I didn’t publish my mock, it’s not much more than a working list of names until the lottery, combine and team workouts occur.

CameronParticipantBro don’t fall for the bait that this troll is feeding you.
My pick would be Nicholson, I rate him a early to mid-second rounder but could see someone picking him up late first, post scoring is always at a premium.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 12:57pm #674867
JrbenzCuse23Which you will not watch. So based upon what you’ve seen, your evaluation is widely off base. Any change in that to a more accurate evaluation will be based upon workouts and combines that you will not see, i.e. what somebody else writes about it. How can you not understand this? Any accuracy you manage to achieve will be based solely off of others evaluations. Good work. And who uses the word troll? God you all have such riveting lives ;).

JoeWolf1Yet you continue to criticize me for not running to my computer and changing my mock in response to Chad Ford’s report. At the same time you call me out, you refer to said article as if is law and the draft already happened and h was indeed picked in the lotto.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantLet…It…Go…Waiters should go 14 through 24, Joe may have a few other prospects ahead of Dion and to be honest to NBA is loaded with 6’4 scorers…GM’s draft size and potential in the 1st round and that’s why we get the occasional steal in the late 1st or 2nd round…
Stop attacking people for disagreeing with your ranking of Dion Waiters … I dont think he’ll fall farther than 17th but some posters like Joe Wolf feel he’ll be taken between the 22nd and 28th picks…it’s still early and we’ll see where he goes in a few weeks…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2012 - 2:19am #674998
F_Swell, at the beginning of the year i thought waiters was a 2nd rounder and your typical tweener combo guard for some reason. by march madness where he had a nice run, he had gone past doron lamb and jeff taylor who i’m hi on.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2012 - 3:01am #675008
JrbenzCuse23I refer to said article as back up to what ive been saying all year. Idiot.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2012 - 3:09am #675009
JrbenzCuse23You use it as a reason to change your opinion. Big difference. Oh and Jeremy Lamb will be head and shouldrrs better than Bradley Beal. Not realy going to be a debate in 2 years.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/01/2012 - 10:24am #676081
JoeWolf1^Ahhhhhhh, this makes more sense now.
You don’t seem to understand the purpose of a mock draft.
Just so you know. A mock draft is one’s best attempt at preditcting the actual draft, not necessarily the opinon of the person who created the mock draft. For example, I had Epke Udoh slated at #6 in the 2010 draft because through the information I gathered, I felt he was going there. That did not mean I thought he was the 6th best player in the draft. I stated that in many posts before and after the draft and that was my opinion.
You call me an idiot while you have the most un-informed view on what is my opinion, and as you illustrated by calling me out about the Lamb/Beal debate, you don’t have a flying fuck of an idea of what my opinion actually is. I have said countless time on this site that I think Jeremy Lamb is a future star and a better option than Beal due to his superior transition and defensive potential. I have Beal ranked higher on my mock because I know he’ll be drafted higher.
You don’t know what my opinons actually are, but you look at my "mock draft" and see that I have players ranked in a way in which you disagree with and you attack me without actually learning my opinion.
If Andre Drummond is going to go #2, will he appear that way in my mock draft? YES. Does that mean I think he will be the 2nd best prospect in this draft? NO. There is a difference.
My "changing opinion" is tracking the stock of draft prospects. If you’re going to call me out for my opinon, at least call me out on something I stated in a post, which is my actual opinion.
But of course you’d call me out on Dion Waiters, when I posted about Alex Young, Kevin Murphy and Orlando Johnson on this post.
