Im here debating with my brother about which Is better television or what id rather watch and im interesested in hearing your thoughts.

So if you had to choose one to watch/attend what would it be an NBA Finals Game 7(Win or go home) Or the superbowl? personally Id choose a game 7 cuz in the NBa typically the best teams make it to the finals where as in football its the hottest teams or healthiest teams. The superbowl has more hype for various reasons. i.e storylines, sudden death format and week between divional games adds to promotion But Im more of a bball fan.

    Any Thoughts??

    Btw Go Giants!!!

Im a sports fan first, basketball fan second, and football fan….well I live in Canada. Game 7 all the way!

Although I understand the majority of people would rather go to the Superbowl. lets face it the Superbowl is an American pasttime, a true foundation of American culture. The NBA Finals is just a Championship. But I love me some basketball!

I agree I’m more of a basketball fan myself. Watching/playing bball is just more exciting to me because of the back and forth pace. But also in football there’s that suspense before the snap especially now in the closing minutes of the game that just makes you feel like something big is about to happen. Oh and this is a great game btw.

History repeats istelf…wow… Congrats on Eli Manning and the NYG… I REALLY thought that it would be vengeance for the Pats just like what the Mavs did with the Heat…

If you think of it, we almost had three rematches in the three major sports this year, we would have had Detriot and St. Louis in the World Seires if they had won the ALCS.

But I am Basketball fan first, I would have to say Game 7.

Game 7s are awesome and I am one of the biggest basketball fans you’ll ever find, but I gotta take the Superbowl. It doesn’t get any bigger than the Superbowl.

I wish my Niners were in the Superbowl. Losing the way we did to the Giants was painful.

But as a Niner fan, knowing that Brady doesnt have 4 Superbowl wins make me feel better.

Montana is still the greatest QB.

^A fellow Niners fan, well at least you got to see Montana or Young, lol. All I’ve seen is Rattay, Dorsey, Sullivan, Hill, and Smith.

As a basketball fan, I would say game 7 of the NBA Finals unless my Philly Eagles made it to the Superbowl, then I’d choose Superbowl.

I’m with Fizer I thought the Pats would pull it out.

The incomplete pass to Welker late in the 4th qtr really hurt.

If they get get that completion with 4 mins left at the 20 they’ll at least get a FG.

A fresh set of downs and the Giants having only 1 time out that would probably have won the game.

Up 5 or 9 pts the game most likely would’ve been over.

Too many mistakes for the Pats with the safety, 12 men on the field penalty negating the would be fumble.

Also the INT early in the 4th qtr and countless times Pats just missed recovering fumbles hurt.

Three huge drops by the Pats really changed the game.  From Welker’s wide open drop, to Deion Branch dropping a tipped pass (I’m a firm believer that if you’re able to get two hands on it, tipped or not, it should be caught.  I held myself accountable on those terms when I used to play football in high school), to Aaron Hernandez wide open drop as well.

What did you guys think on that game-winning touchdown?  Smart to run in or should he have kneed?  I honestly believe it was better to score, like they say, "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush".  If you have a sure-fire touchdown, you take it instead of taking a chance at Tynes Cunduffing a field goal.

Wow I can’t believe the Giants won the Super when my Eagles have owned them for the last few years.  They were so close to not even making the playoffs and it makes me wonder considering how the hot the Eagles were at the end of the season what would of happened in the playoffs.  I could easily of saw Vick standing up there with the trophy right now….

But did anybody else think Gratkowski was gonna catch that hail mary?  I was sure of it he was standing right there at perfect position and if he would of caught that it would of been the equivelant of a team losing game 7 of the finals on a 40 foot 3 pointer.

As far as the question it really depends on the team.  And the Super Bowl is such a party the whole weekend.  But strictly for the game with neutral teams I would say game 7 because I like watching basketball better live.  I love being at football games but I focus on the game more when I’m at home as compared to when I go down to The Linc it’s always so crazy it’s hard just to focus on the game.

     @Rudeboy

If Brady would of connect on a few of the passes on the final drive or say Grotkowski’s hands were the size of Kawhi Leonards and he caught that hail mary and the Pat’s won then yeah Bradshaw would of got most of the blame because the Patriots purposefully let him score so they would have time left on the clock and Bradshaw did.  If he didn’t they could of easily ran the clock out and kicked the FG given the Pat’s no chance at winning.

That’s why this play in the Eagles-Cowboys game when Brian Westbrook sprinted 30 yards for what looked like an easy TD but instead slid so he could get called down at the one and let the time run off the clock clinching the Eagles victory was one of the headiest plays in NFL history.
