If you all didn't love Kyrie enough already...

Summer camp:

Some high draft picks do not want to attend the NBA's summer league after they have established themselves. Irving is not in that category.

"Even if Coach Scott didn't want me to go, I was going to be there anyway," Irving said.

Scott believes it would be good for rookies Irving and Tristan Thompson to play together, even if it's only for a few games. Irving went a step further: With as many as four draft picks joining the team in July, the newbies will have a chance to play with the starting point guard.

Due to the lockout, neither Irving nor Thompson took part in last year's summer league in Las Vegas. Irving said he knows it can be an anxious time for young guys trying to make a favorable impression.

"I'm going there to cool everybody down," Irving said. "[I'll] be the cool guy down there."

He grew up watching the summer league, Irving said, and one of his favorite memories is the camera panning the crowd and catching a napping Scott, a clip that can be found on YouTube.

The kid really cares. The Cavs got really lucky to get this one fall on their laps.

Cavs are lucky to have

Cavs are lucky to have Irving, the kid is just all class. This is one of the reasons I dislike the Wiaters pick up. not sure how a cocky almost agrogant waiters will go with Irving who is all class, modest and low key. Hopefully Scott can get into him about that comment about him having no weaknessess.

Back to Irving. I just love this kid. Does not present himself as a 19-20 year old kid. Cleveland would be a very sad place if we never got that clippers pick.

I just can't help but not be

I just can't help but not be a fan of this guy. I loved watching him in high school and the few times he actually played at Duke, and he's quickly becoming one of my favorite point guards in the league
