JNixonParticipantI’m excited about the Summer League being on for the next few days and I know y’all are too, but I have a question. I want to write scouting reports on the most notable players on all the teams playing today. Should I do one big post at the end of the day, or post every game one at a time?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 4:04am #346746
mikeyvthedonParticipantIt would be worth the wait man. Just take it easy and give us your scouting reports after you have had time to marinate. Just my thoughts, I am interested to hear what you take away from some of these games, and I just prefer reading it all at once.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 4:07am #346747
MagikKnickParticipantSeperate Post, if you do it all in one post, its gonna look like a clutter, and you know how people on here are read-aphobic anyway
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 4:16am #346748
mwardiaParticipantgood point majik knick lol
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 4:24am #346750
IndianaBasketballParticipantJust do it like you do it last summer. I think you did a game or two per post.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 6:50am #346791
JNixonParticipantI guess I’ll do one game at a time due to popular demand lol

0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 7:16am #346810
McWinningParticipantCollins is pretty chubby…..
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 7:18am #346811
JNixonParticipantClemente! Lets go Charlotte! lol
This game is sloppy so far
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 7:19am #346812
sc0rebuckets11ParticipantI know Gerald Henderson is putting on a show.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 7:24am #346816
JNixonParticipantHe’s made 2 super athletic plays so far. Still lacks confidence in his shot though
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 7:27am #346818
McWinningParticipantStill trying to figure out why the jazz drafted Jeremy Evans….

knicks82ParticipantWhat are the odd on Andy Rautins of the Knicks scoring more in the summer league than Gordon Hayward? Cause my money is on Rautins.THough the Knicks dont play til the 11th. I cant wait!

- Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 7:57am #346831
butidonthavemoneyYada is a beast. Jeffers looks good too.
Nobody else on the Jazz has impressed me.
0- Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 8:27am #346845
knicks82ParticipantSherron Collins needs to lay off the cheeseburgers for a while. He can still play though even overweight.
0
- Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 8:41am #346853
WizardofOzParticipantI want Hayward to be more aggressive. He’s not calling for the ball and every time he gets a the ball, it seems like he’s not looking for his shot.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 8:45am #346859
JNixonParticipantHe’s struggling with Derrick Brown. Brown’s length and athleticism is throwing him off pretty badly on both ends.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 8:46am #346860
WizardofOzParticipantYeah. Collins gained a lot of weight after the season. You would think that he would be trying to lose weight so he could get in better shape and make an NBA team.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 8:50am #346863
butidonthavemoneyYada is the Deron Williams of the [Summer] League. Tyrese Rice is the Jason Hart.
I like what I’m seeing from the Jazz. Kosta still has invisible mittens on his hands, but at least he isn’t Goran Suton.
I wanted to see more of Paul Harris though. He’s always been one of my favorite players.
EDIT: This isn’t the D-League.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:03am #346871
butidonthavemoneyI would like to apologize to Tyrese Rice.
!!!
Howard Eisley sitting behind Sloan!!! D00d!!!
(I’m on a slight delay, BTW)
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:12am #346875
IndianaBasketballParticipantHayward needs to be more aggressive, BUT… He’s not going to shine bright in a situation like this… Too much selfishness.

0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:22am #346882
IndianaBasketballParticipantI like the Pacers here. I’m expecting a big game from McRoberts.
0- Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:24am #346884
knicks82ParticipantI like Marcus Landry…my pick to click in this one.
0
- Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:26am #346886
JNixonParticipantPacers should take this game. They look to have more talent throughout the roster.
Jerome Randle! You better do your thing. He’s been my pick to be the best undrafted player.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:28am #346888
IndianaBasketballParticipantDon’t be surprised if Stephenson plays a little passive. He’s had some foot problems as of late.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:29am #346885
McDunkinOne thing i have noticed about James Augustine since his college days in illinois is that his race/nationality seems to change with the length of his hair
Its Mcbob time
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:31am #346892
butidonthavemoneyStephenson playing passive???
Ok…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:35am #346895
McDunkinrick kamla and smitty should be able to pull a Julian Wright and say no to working summer league
Eric Snow should be here to prove himself
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:37am #346898
IndianaBasketballParticipant@butidonthavemoney
He has a foot injury. It’s limited him in practice all week.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:39am #346899
butidonthavemoneyAnd where’s Matt Harpring???
Eric Snow and Matt Harpring should have their own Sit-Com…
I think I just got an idea…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 9:48am #346904
JNixonParticipantPaul George is struggling BADLY right now
Stephenson looks good.
Jerome Randle looks pretty good too, well at least scoring the ball
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:09am #346915
McDunkinGood idea money…”The Boring Couple” They could be a couple of sport analyst roomates that live in ATL and are boring as hell. Every show would end with some kind of soulless catch phrase..Like Eric could accidently blow up Matts car and lifelessly say “Boom goes the dynamite” and Matt Harpring would just shrug his shoulders and say “Thats my Spart Dog” as the scene freezes and the credits start.
But to stay on topic i can see Thomas Heurtel getting signed by someone this season…if not an NBA team than a high level team overseas
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:13am #346916
kaceyParticipantRandle can not stop Stephenson right now. I know he is a midget, but you would think he would be quick enough to stay in front of him.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:13am #346917
IndianaBasketballParticipantRichard Hendrix has really slimmed down from his days at Bama
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:18am #346921
kaceyParticipantI thought he use to be bigger than that.
Stephenson is playing like a man right now.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:20am #346924
IndianaBasketballParticipantI see why he gets Tyreke Evans comparisons. He has a similar game.
Paul George doesn’t look good.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:22am #346926
JNixonParticipantAnd some guy said that Cincy was better off with Deonta Vaughn as their starting PG this past season than Lance Stephenson? Child please. Vaughn should’ve played off the ball, he was trying to prove he was a PG for the NBA. And we now see how that worked out for him…
Stephenson looks very good out there.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:25am #346928
kaceyParticipantI want to see Chris Kramer get some run.
And was the Stanley Robinson on the receiving end of that alley-oop?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:25am #346929
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI’ve been saying since Stephenson was a junior in H.S., this kid is the real deal. And I know it’s just a summer league game, he’s showing you his handles, body control, driving ability, scoring in traffic, and his offensive instincts.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:28am #346931
IndianaBasketballParticipantVaughn has never really been a point guard… Not even at Arlington HS. He’s always been a shoot first scorer.
Stephenson looks like the first round pick, while George looks like the second round pick. We may have found something in Stephenson. He needs some work, but I think the Pacers is the perfect opportunity for him… No distractions in Indianapolis (we’re called NapTown for goodness sakes) and the playing time is there. I’m excited about him.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 10:43am #346939
McDunkinMcbob dont play
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:03pm #347020
McDunkinIf Byron doesnt wnat to be called B.J. Why does he have a B and a J tatted on each arm?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:08pm #347022
BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI just want to point out to all the Thunder people who love that supposed young core supporting Kevin Durant is getting worked over by Jaycee Carroll, Luke Harangody, and Oliver Lafayette. Even the supposedly fabulous and improving offensive skill set of Serge Ibaka can’t help them.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:10pm #347024
BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantAlso, Semih Erden looks like he can be a part of a live action Flinstones movie with very little costume or acting help.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:31pm #347030
joecheck88Participanti thought okc would dominate boston but its summerleague. but i think the refs are just as selfish as some of these players, they blow the whistle more than these guys are shooting.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:40pm #347034
joecheck88Participantand i like seeing kevin durant there supporting his young guys, this guy just gets it.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:46pm #347039
llperezi want to see evan turner and jrue up next
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:48pm #347041
IndianaBasketballParticipantGood pointing that out about Durant. He does get it. I like what he stands for… He seems to be hungry, humble and focused on all of the right things. Kid just has his head on straight.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:54pm #347049
joecheck88Participantya, durant was at the draft now at summer league, he really loves the game. im sure it will wear off to where he doesnt show up to these things but its nice to see a young player be a leader. that team is going to be lethal very soon.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:56pm #347052
joecheck88Participantwho you got philly or nj? or do u not care because i dont really care who wins im just excited to see turner and favors.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 1:57pm #347054
stanford hoopsI’ve liked Luke for awhile now and think he will prove people who think he can’t do anything in the NBA wrong
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 2:12pm #347073
joecheck88Participantturner is rebounding well, holiday looks very confident, and speights is getting his fgas. and terrence williams is a playmaker has a few nice passes already.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 2:16pm #347076
joecheck88Participantand cedric simmons is still around? thats coo, has he ever played a meaningful minute in the league?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 2:19pm #347080
DaGuywhodidurmaParticipantyeah simmons had good potential. but couldnt suceed with west in front of him

IndianaBasketballParticipantI like this Turner vs T-Will matchup.
Hey… Was that Mike Green on the 76ers?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 2:32pm #347093
DaGuywhodidurmaParticipantcant wait to see my lakers. ebanks and caracter were bug steals
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 2:41pm #347101
OldSkoolBasketballParticipantyou can’t foul out in summer league? Good for Turner.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/05/2010 - 2:53pm #347118
OldSkoolBasketballParticipantT-Will! Nice dunk
