Something something basketballParticipantA buddy and I were discussing possible fits were for kanter. And which players you could get in return for him. My buddy said he would be good on the Celtics and could realize his full potential whereas sully, who has come into his own, could be a great addition to the jazz as a more natural stretch 4. I’m sure it’ll never happen, especially straight up, but who would you rather have for the long haul?

natevalParticipantI would rather have Sully. Sully is a better passer and IMO has a better shot at developing a 3 point shot.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantProbably going to be unpopular, but I’d rather have Kanter. Sully can’t seem to get into shape no matter how many offseasons the Celtics beg him to, and he has a hazey injury history. That spells disaster for his longevity. They’re both really poor defenders, I think defense is a wash between them. Offensively, they have pretty similar games, both can hit the face up jumper, both are above average operators in the low post, though I certainly concede that Sully is more developed at this point in their careers. However, I think Kanter’s body and his advantage physically over Sully since he is taller and has a more trim build, lending Kanter to make more athletic plays, will allow him to eventually overtake Sully in that regard.
If it weren’t for Sully’s poor body type and injury history throwing up red flags for LONG TERM investment, he’d be the easy pick.

ZachAttackParticipantSullinger and Trey Burke grew up together, they played basketball with each other a lot as children. If this trade ever did happen (it won’t), then those 2 could play very well together.

sitlbitoParticipantHonestly I wouldn’t like neither of them on my team. Both don’t seem to have a good attitude, thinking they’re better than they actually are. Sulinger to me is the better player because of his 3 pts shot, better passer also. But him being late at shootarounds, having this kind of body fat,and Kanter asking for a trade because he thinks he’s better than Gobert and Favors, what he actually isn’t,there you have two not so great locker room guys.
