BasketballJunkie224Participantthis is probably going to sound crazy and everyone will think im out of my mind but for some reason i dont really mind a weak draft. I feel like there is a bigger chance for suprises and stuff and you never really know whats gonna happen

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI kinda agree. Last years draft was very strong so teams and fans expected ALOT out of their picks which caused some of them to disappoint( Rivers, Beal, Robinson, etc.) while this draft a lot of players can overachieve and play much better than expected. Much like 2011 no one expected Irving to be a star right away, just a very good player. I don’t want my team( Raptors) to have a pick in this draft, I’d rather us give it up to OKC so we don’t have to next season

phila9012Participantstrong drafts are the same as weak drafts, the surprises just happen later in draft.

machu46ParticipantIt depends on your definition of a strong draft vs. a weak draft.
Last year was strong in the sense that there were a lot of players that were perceived to be able to make an impact. However, it was weak in the sense that Anthony Davis was really the only guy that most people thought would be a sure-fire star.

ph90702If players drafted in the 20s can make an impact, then I consider it a strong draft. If not, then I consider it a weak draft. It comes to down to how far down you can go and still find somebody who can be a solid contributor.

BasketballJunkie224Participantyea but in strong drafts the suprises suck..it seems like all of the foreign guys get drafted in the strong drafts and then never to be heard from again
