Nash’s days in Phoenix are most definitely over.  Where does he sign next year?  I know he mentioned playing with Lebron.  Does Nash end up in South Beach next year?

I would say so. It’s probably his best chance of trying to get a ring and with all the attention LeBron & Wade attract, all he would have to do is hit his open shots and get everyone else involved. If I have to give a percentage for him to sign with the Heat, I would say 50%.

    Other possible destinations:

Knicks – 25% chance – I’ve read rumors that the Knicks would still like to make a push for Nash. I’m not sure how other Knicks fans would feel but he would come in and mesh with Amare ala his PHX days and still have Lin as a solid back up.

OKC – 12.5% chance – Imagine sliding Westbrook at the 2 and having Nash set up Russell and KD every night? it would be awesome and really would make them run better in their half court offense. I know OKC is not the biggest market (and I don’t know if Nash is looking for that) but this would be a perfect fit as well.

Utah – 10% – PG has been up and down for the Jazz all season long. They could have a brief temporary solution and help out all their young players. It would be an instant upgrade over Devin Harris but Nash won’t be winning a championship here if he goes.

Raptors – 2.5% – Why not? Canada’s hero and you already know the fans would love him from day one. He would bring the most out of Bargs and DeMar plus add in Jonas V and you may have a darkhorse team to make the playoffs in the East.

Nash wouldn’t help out the heat much at all. Nash is a player who likes to probe around with the ball constantly. That would take away from lebron and Wade. Yes nash could hit an open jumper but also he’s not a very good defender

If he wants a shot at a ring he will end up there. I can see it happening especially if the Heat don’t win it this year.
I also think that Nash and LeBron deserve to play together. Two of the best offensive weapons ever and willing passers.
Add Bosh, Battier, Chalmers, and Haslem and that would be a fun team. I could see the Miami World Order winning with that group.

That would be the perfect scenario for Nash.

Don’t know why he would go to the Knicks now. Dantoni is gone and I don’t think Nash is dreaming of playing for Woodson. IMO he either goes to the HEAT for the MLE or ends up signing in Phoenix for 10 mil or so a season. Without Nash the Suns don’t have too much to make fans come to the arena.

Would love for Nash to come to Toronto. He’s the greatest Canadian Basketball player and it would be great i he could end his career in Canada like Big Cat (Magloire) is doing right now. If he’s not going to a contender hope he comes to Toronto 🙂

I would cry if the Thunder got Nash for the MLE. That would be the funnest team to watch in the NBA. His shooting would also erase the need to play guys like Cook, and that would be the most productive offense in NBA history…Really, they would have Harden, Durant, Westbrook, and Nash all shooting close to 50/40/90…Well, Westbrook would need to improve that three point shot first

what would happen is that if nash leave, then the Suns would suck, there is no more floor general, i dont know if aaron brooks will stay there, they will be the nets when they dont have Deron Williams, the good thing would be the showcasing of the players talent, via one on one play,

they maybe would draft a Point guard, maybe in Marshall of teague,

the suns would suck in about 2 years, that would be there rebuilding years

Phoenix is immediately one of the worst teams in the NBA without Nash.  I badly want Nash to end up in Indiana, but my guess is Portland.

I’d like for Nash to end up on the Pacers as well.

That’s all they’re lacking… A true point guard who can create for others and run a team.

If Nash hits the open market, I think he is going to either the Lakers or the Knicks. He lives in New York in the off season by the way, so that would make things easier for him and his family. The Knicks would probably drop the ball on Linsanity to use their mid-level exception on Nash. Especially when, I predict, their current PGs just get destroyed in the playoffs.

Funny Nash story I just heard second hand. As everyone knows, Nash played soccer as a kid. He still does from time to time and I heard that he plays in some pretty high level pick up games. A guy was telling me that Nash just PHYSICALLY dominates the games. You see, Nash is 6′ 3" and the average soccer player here in New York City is probably about 5′ 8" (the south american guys tend be short). So apparently he is just a big physical guy in that world. Funny because of the way we see him on TV.

I think he’s headed to Miami, he wants to win, he likes what Miami has, and he can put them over the hump.

I don’t think OKC would go after him unless KD muscles up or they want him to play the four, because then you’d have to have Nash, Westbrook, Harden, Durant, and Ibaka, and that is a pretty small lineup, but a very explosive offensive one. I really want to see KD become a 27 11 and 6 guy, along with 50-40-90, although that may be asking for too much.

The Thunder still need to sign Ibaka and Harden soon. They won’t be getting Nash.
