Magic JordanParticipantAm I missing something about all this Steve Kerr stuff? The Jazz, Warriors, Knicks and Lakers are among teams that have expressed serious interest in him. He wasn’t a good GM. I’m not saying that means he wouldn’t be a good coach but where is all of this coming from? Have we ever seen something like this? A guy who has never coached be the hottest name for open jobs right now? Mark Jackson came out of the booth but it’s not like there were multiple teams clamoring for him at the time, it was a surprise when he got the job.
Is this just a sign of the times in the league? Emulation of sorts? Desperation? Just a hot name because Phil Jackson wants him? What do you guys think?

drk3351ParticipantI do agree as a Suns fan that I remember that he wasn’t a great GM. Then he kind of quit on us if I remember correctly, he wasn’t fired.

hbomb3300ParticipantI don’t understand it either… I’m sure he’s very knowledgeable about the game but he just doesn’t have a leader’s personality. I can’t see players really respecting him.

Moon RiverParticipantI keep hearing that he already has a good relationship with Warrior management. It also doesn’t hurt that Kerr has a home in Cali and his daughter is in college in Cali as well. Plus, I think Golden State is the best option as far as the existing roster compared to the other teams. At the end of the day, it is good to be Steve Kerr.

CynthiaParticipantI really like Steve Kerr, and I think he will be a succesful coach. He has a cool & calm demeanor which will help him keep focus even in the midst of things. From everything I’ve seen he’s just a really smart dude.
