ShekiruBoomParticipantLike seriously how many times can this happen!! i know this time it wasn’t that bad and he was held out for precautionary measures but seriously you would think by this point they would literally lock his ankle down with like 5 ankle braces… this guys went to nike to get customized shoe to protect his ankle and that failed so he got surgery to strengthen it and even then its still not looking so good already. is he cursed with some womenly ankles or something? i realize im just flaming at this point but seriously how many times is this gonna happen?

omphalosParticipantHe should wear ektio, they are apparently the best ankle protection you can get, something to do with the strapping makes it impossible for you to roll your ankle.

TallmanNYCParticipantFS, you are right when you sprain an ankle you stretch and weaken ligaments and tendons, so it becomes easier with time.
I don’t know what ankle braces he wears but at this point I would expect it makes sense to bring out the heavy duty ones. The problem with ankle braces is that they can cut down you mobility and even transfer some of the stress of cutting up to your knee since you ankle is imobalized.
But Curry has to do something to make himself able to stay on the court.
Maybe he should demand a trade to the Suns.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantYeah its sad. I broke my ankle twice and its been good for about 6 years. so idk whats going on. Curry may not get that contract, if he does not i see him going back home to Charlotte to play for Bobcats. Golden State cant give him big money if he keeps getting hurt. The suns are also a good option because of the training staff

jhbm24ParticipantHe didn’t roll his ankle on his own. He got stepped on.. No matter your ankle health, when you get stepped on your f"ed.. So all you guys talking about NOT AGAIN! Well it didn’t happen again, his ankle didn’t give out it was stepped on..

LipstickParticipantStill sucks (obviously), but he should be ready to go for the season from what I’ve heard…so far…
Who stepped on it? I’m surprised whoever did wasn’t hurt either. Usually it’s the foot-stepper-oner that gets a gruesome ankle injury.

TallmanNYCParticipantHe had his foot kicked by a guy running by behind him, not really stepped on. It was kind of a freak accident play and I don’t think he really rolled on it and put any real weight on it. I think this injury is getting overblown even if we are talking about Steph Curry here. This shouldn’t set him back at all. Now will he not hurt his ankle for real at some point during the season, we shall see. I’d be nervous if I drafted him in the first or second round for a fantasy draft.
