St. John's Former PG's
Hardy is from the Bronx ...kemba is from the Bronx when kemba was @ rice high school hardy was the man @ jfk high-school there is no fear there ..its more of a thing where he (Hardy) will say man I usta kill this kid in Guachos Gym and I.s .8 tournaments......Now we in college and I'm. A senior that no to many are familiar with and this guy that I feel and know I'm better them gets all the hub ....time to go to work .....33 points later and a blowout of nationally ranked team now ppl wanna know who's this Hardy kid ?
because college bball isnt the NBA.. they were playing against 18-24 year olds... although omar cook probably had a good chance to make it, except van exal and calbert cheaney were ahead of him.. both players that fit perfectly into that system.. cook would be a decent 3rd in that rotation at best... if he had stayed with orlando in 2001 he would have had a better shot in the NBA. he still has had a decently sucessful pro career in europe..
Elijah Ingram was involved in a scandal with a prostitute I believe. Several of the players called her to their room and had sex with her, only afterwards telling her they had no money. I think she then accused them of rape or something. I'm pretty sure he was never convicted, but he had to leave St. John's. I'm pretty sure he transferred to New Mexico St.
IMO cook would have been a first round pick. If i'm not mistaken he lead the nation and Big east in ast and only played one year in college. Pretty hard to know what he would have turned out to be with three more years of college.
15ppg 8.7 ast in his freshman year
Erick Barkley played for St. Johns when I 1st started watching basketball. I think he would be like a poor mans version of what Derrick Rose is right now if he would've stayed in college 1 more year maybe. He was explosive and he has good size and handles. He was a shaky shooter, but he was fun to watch and an intriguing prospect.
What happen to these for Mickey D PG's.......Erick Barkely, Omar Cook, Elijah Ingram & most importantly why weren't they successful?
