Lakers got the 2nd pick & now that’s done the PG13 trade can take center stage again.

I think Lakers would be wise to go for PG now, but I don’t think the 2nd pick is necessary to get it done. With Lakers getting the pick I think it makes Ingram far more available. So my trade proposal:
Ingram, Clarkson, Nance & 28th pick for George.

Lakers – They get PG13 and with the likely arrival of Lonzo who I believe can contribute immediately gives them time to work with each other before 2018 summer. Also you get PG now guys like Griffin are starting to look at Lakers as FA destination. They keep Russell and Randle as Indiana doesn’t need them, could keep or move for talent or get rid of Sent contract.

Indiana – Sure they want to keep George but at the risk of getting nothing get a potential 20ppg scorer in Ingram to pair with Turner as the franchise corner stones. Clarkson is a nice combo guard who could compliment Stephenson nicely in back-court as he reminds me of G.Hill. Nance is athletic and rebound which fits perfectly next to Turner. Indiana would also have 18th and 28th pick which they could try trade up with to get someone they really want or just get BPA when they due to pick.

As a Pacers fan, I hope this isn’t the deal they get for PG. Not high on ANY of those guys from the Lakers smdh.

I’m hoping that with the Celtics going to the ECF’s, that PG considers a trade to them. IF PG wants to be on a contender like he says, the Celtics would be his choice. #1 pick, Jaylen Brown & I don’t even care who else they throw in to make it work.

You’re not high on a 19yo kid averaging 9 and 4 in the nba, PG averaged 8 and 4 as a 21yo, a quality 6th men instant offense(monta ellis upgrade), a blue collar atheltic defender at the 4 (when you’re starting Thad Young) and a valuable 28th pick in a deep draft ?

You sir would deserve the return the Thunder had for Durant !!!

I’d take it in a heartbeat, you ain’t getting more than that, i don’t think Ainge is a silly guy either, he’s trouncing people more than he’s trounced.

Paul George and his agents have the leverage. If they make it clear they want to go to the Lakers, The Pacers will be forced to trade him for some value players before he bolts in free agency. If they want to trade him to another team they can make it clear he wont be signing long term with that team. Paul George on the Jimmy Kimmel show in La the night before the lottery? Writing seems to be on the wall.

As a Lakers fan, I would hope that we don’t trade for George and instead just sign him in free agency. If George really wants to go to LA and win, then wouldn’t this seem like the best idea for him, as it would allow the Lakers to keep all their young assets and compete right away. We might even be able to pull off a trade for another superstar player with the assets we will have. I’ve said all along that the Lakers need to be very careful how they approach going after George. Last thing you would want is a repeat of the Carmelo situation in New York.

if george wants to be a laker, i dont give up anything too significant. Maybe russell since im losing faith in him, but nothing more then that. Just sign him in a year if he wants to be here.

Sounds good to me as a Sixers fan…The Lakers pick will be right back in the mix for the top 3 next season. Magic will want to shake things up ASAP in my mind but you are right longterm it wouldn’t make sense to give up good young prospects to get a guy you can just sign next off season without trading anyone.

I don’t think they should trade for Paul George to begin with. They should wait for free agency. If they do trades of any kind, they should hold onto Brandon Ingram at all costs. They should keep their 1st pick (Ball?). Trading Russell and Randle would be fine if they got Ball. I’m not sure the Pacers go for that. Either way, you keep the potential stars.

Is a total idiot if he signs with the Lakers.  He cannot lead a team, obviously due to his really bad body language with the Pacers.  There isn’t anyone close to Myles Turner on the Lakers.

What on earth is enticing about playing with Randle, Russell, or Ball….nothing.  There is no chance that team would compete in teh West with the Warriors, sign Blake Griffin or not.

Ball, Griffin, and George would be a fun trio, but that isn’t a good enough roster to win.
