don042488ParticipantThere are still some nice pick ups out there, that teams can sign, for less than nothin’ and still acquire a quality player, such as Royal Ivey, Aaron Gray, Steve Novak, and Solomon Jones…Royal Ivey, is still young, he plays hard all the time..He’s a very good defender…At 6’4, 215 pound, Ivey can guard both point guards and shooting guards, and he’s a player that rarely makes mistakes, as evident with his assists to turnover ratio, this kid takes care of the ball…He would be a good pickup for a contending team, or one that lacks defense, either the Grizzles or Celtics, could use him as a backup point guard…Aaron Gray, was a star his senior year at Pittsburgh, and although that same success hasn’t transferred over to the NBA, he’s still a productive player…In limited minutes, he still could get u 4 to 5 boards a game, about 5 to 6 points, and a block, all while shooting a high percentage from the field…And him being 7’0 only adds to a teams length…I think either the Hawks, Wizards, Pistons, Mavericks, Bobcats, and/or the Hornets, could all use him, because they lack a backup center and/or height at the center position…Steve Novak, like Gray was a star at Marquette, but since then, he’s become a 3 point specialist in the league…Who would’nt want a 6’10 snipper, that can even put the ball on the floor, and create for himself? Novak would be a great pick up for teams that need a 3 point shooter, like the Celtics, Hawks, Grizzles, Cavaliers, Bucks, Sixers, and etc…As for Solomon Jones, he’s an athletic 6’11 player, who runs the floor like a deer, and is a very good shot blocker…He’s in the mold of Steven Hunter

Da1potParticipantThe Bulls have apparently made a qualifying offer to Gray. He is a decent center and can be very productive on offense and defense. The Wizards might offer him their bi-annual exception, because they are lacking depth in their frontcourt. I could see the Magic making an offer to him too to back up Dwight Howard.

dwat4444ParticipantWasn’t Gray starting at the beginning of the year for the bulls?

aarondsonixfanParticipantOKC isnt going to use their money to get new players. They are going to use it to resign Green and Durant next year and play their young guys. They just signed Harden, Mullens, and Ibaka

rickybobbyParticipantThe Rockets need to sign Gray. He can be a legitment starting center this year and a very productive backup if and when Yao comes back from injury.

j1232eParticipantis a big body, but not a legit starter in this league. He is a legit backup for 14-16 mins a game.
