llperezandersen silva is number 2 in my book. But you couldnt go wrong with either guy. But silva lost more rounds in his last fight then gsp has lost in his entire MMA career.

Turnovers cost the Clippers the game, not Baron Davis. That was actually a decent shot considering the circumstance.
Blame Del Negro for drawing up a WHACK play. The Clippers offense was predictable and stale all game. Another wasted effort by Griffin and Gordon.

marcusfizer21ParticipantBlake got denied of that inbounds pass… Baron should have known better to pass the ball… Eric Gordon was ready to make a play… Well, I guess Baron still got stuck in that 2007 Warriors team…

llperezdamn, texas am pulls it out by 1 point. Isiah got his shot blocked at the buzzer. Too bad for washington becasue they now have lost 3 games that came down to the final seconds.

IndianaBasketballParticipantMemphis knew the damn play before it was even ran.
Griffin was going to pop out and then Gordon was going to come around and get it. It was obvious. The sad thing is LAC didn’t have a second option, etc just in case that didn’t work… Which is why Baron got stuck in the corner. He was never supposed to touch the ball.
Del Negro just runs the same sets over and over again.

SteroidParticipantHow many title defenses have Anderson had so far? How long has he had the middleweight belt?? Anderson hasn’t lost a fight in 5 years… How can you call a guy the P4P fighter in the world, and he won’t even test the waters out in a new division, and he keeps running through the same guys over again?
And Anderson fought a guy who had 4x the testosterone levels of a normal man in Sonnen, and Anderson was injured with a broken rib(s) from his training camp.
But yeah, I’m watching UFC 124..

I respect andersen silva. But lets disect your arguents here. You give credit to andersen for moving up to fight at lhw. He fought twice once against james irvin who was probably not even a top 30 lhw and then against forrest griffin who style wise was the best possible matchup for silva. I love forrest, but he is way too slow to be trying to throw with silva. GSP is much younger and will probably eventually move up. ALso, GSP has fought undisputably the tougher comp. He has beat every single top contender in the entire world at his weight class except jake shields who he will face eventually if he wins tonight. SIlva fights in a weaker weight class. ANd when i look at gsp, i see a guy who never allows himself to be put into a bad position for even a round let alone an entire fight. Silva has been beaten in rounds and has taken rounds off and has shown weaknesses. GSP has zero weaknesses and he makes the most elite wrestlers look like complete amateurs.

llperezpac 10 is very down. Washington losing all their big games when they are the best team in the confernce wont look good at all but you can see they are on par with the best in the country. Everyone else is just trying to figure it out right now. But if you look ahead to next season, most teams should improve. The only squad losing key seniors to graduation is washington and then whoever leaves early from other schools

For now, Indiana and Kentucky is on. Indiana has an interesting prospect on their team as a combo forward, his name is Christian Watford. He has some nice raw talent. Intriguing prospect.

SteroidParticipantRegardless, Anderson has finished every fight that he hasn’t won an unanimous decision by, so I fail to see your point there about Anderson losing rounds when it’s irrelevant, but I guess decisions are more impressive than knockouts now. I guarantee no fighter goes in looking to get a decision. Georges failed to finish Dan Hardy multiple times, who recently got knocked out by Carlos Condit. Last time I checked, every fight that Anderson hasn’t finished have been unanimous decisions. Anderson is getting new competition regularly, and he doesn’t fight the same guys. How is Georges’ title defenses much better than Anderson’s? In order to be a contender, you have to be at the top of your game, right? Pretty much every single guy Anderson has fought has been a top division guy in the world at some point, and some still are. You simply don’t get to fight for the belt without being on some type of streak. The only reason Anderson seems to be in a weak division is because he is that good.

llperezsteroid…so you think winning rounds and dominating fights doesnt matter? You are the only person in the world who would think that. Believe it or not, when comparing the two best fighters in the world, how they look in htier fights and control their fights does matter, shocking i know. As for the decisions, yep, georges doesnt finish very many fights. But dmoinating guys for entire fights and breaking their will and controling every single aspect of the fight, ill get over the fact he didnt finish. ANd yes, georges title defenses are better. The UFC middleweight division is hands down the weakes in the ufc. This is common opinion. WHo’s Silva’s biggest victory in the ufc? Rich franklin? Chael Sonnen? Nate Marquardt? All great fighters but nothing special. GSP has defeated guys that dominate everyone else and he makes them look like they dont even belong in the cage with him. The reason GSP fights rematches, is becasue his opponents are so much better then everyone else, that they earn rematches. SIlva’s opponents are just a round table of who’s the flavor of the month in a weak division.
Like i said from the get go, silva’s a great fighter. But gsp shows no weakness and completley dictates fights. Silva’s last fight he got his a.ss beat for 4 1/2 rounds and then pulled out a submission. Tonight, gsp in typical fashion, made his opponent look like a amateur who didnt belong in the cage with him for the entire fight.
