Lotto StudParticipantEven though this gift may be a deed by nature, I’m glad to see positives resurface again for him. One mishap should have never "killed" his character. If one chooses to listen to many of his interviews, he comes off as a guy with his head on his shoulders without any missing screws. Smaht choice!

chall23ParticipantThe only thing that worries me is they have 3 guards that can’t shoot. If Smart can develop a consistent shot than I think without a doubt they made a good pick.

UnbiasedObserverParticipantTo say Avery Bradley can’t shoot is major stretch. Is he ever going to win the 3 point contest? No. But he is a decent to solid outside shooter. Although I agree they really don’t have a true 3 point threat other than maybe Marcus Thornton when he’s hot.

Meditated StatesParticipantHit a few timely threes. He has not shown the ability to get pass elite NBA guards. That leads me to believe he is a good back up PG in the making. I have yet to see him blow past defenders and finish. He plays hard on d and is willing to make the extra pass. PG of the future i just dont see it. He brings great energy though and he will improve his shot some over time.

Lotto StudParticipantWell with this being said, how do you think he would fare if the roles were reversed with Elfrid Payton?

chall23ParticipantEhhh I’m not really an Elfrid guy I think people are a little too high on him as well. He’ll be alright but he needs to be able to hit open shots to keep the defense honest

omphalosParticipantThe only thing that bothers me is that we have James Young who can shoot rotting on the bench.

ExumInfernoParticipantIt will take a while for the results to be in but James Young, with his size and shooting and athletic ability, should be a much better shooting guard for Boston than Bradley, Smart, Thornton or Turner will ever be.
Obviously the Celtics want to take it a bit slow with him as he was one of the youngest players in the draft but they should be able to find him a few more minutes of playing time.
