This has been an interesting week in college basketball with some good upsets and surprising play by some underrated players, so if you want to bring something up feel free to do it now…

I think Harvard is a legit tourny team that people will worry about come selection time. Senior Keith Wright is a hard nosed post player who might have a shot as a second rounder.

Otto Porter reminds me of a rich-mans Stanley Robinson from Uconn. And Henry Sims has come out of nowhere to run that offense perfectly as a great passing big man with a soft touch but that softness carries over to the boards.

I also like UCF and think there two best prospects aren’t there top two guys I think Isaiah Sykes and Rod Days are long run and jump athletes who have a higher ceiling then Jordan and Clanton.

Obvioulsy UNLV looks really good, but Nevada is also a team to watch out in the desert, don’t let the early loses throw you off  when they get on track they will be good, with Burton, Hunt and Story.

Creighton isn’t just McDermott with Gonzaga and Rutgers transfers they look very good and their gaurds can play some D.

We also have three potential upsets tonight, Butler vs Indiana, St.Louis vs Oklahoma, Dayton vs Minnesota. Matchups to watch Zeller vs Andrew Smith, two athletic offensive posts. St.Louis has a great combo of size, speed and veterans to win any night. Paul Williams, Cris Johnson, and Josh Benson, match up well with Mbaka, Austin Hollins and Rodney Williams.

I know they are, thats why I said that. Living in Fl and watching all of there games I have seen them enough to know Jordan doesn’t have the speed or ball handeling to play point or the size or ability to play SG, and Clanton is a bit of a tweener who wants to play outside too much.

Rodney Hood of Mississippi State has surprised me..I heard that he was going to be a good player..But he has lottery potential…

Robert Sacre of Gonzaga has went from undrafted to a possible 1st rounder..And he’s improved his rebounding this year..I think he’s averaging 10 a game..He’s always been aggressive and gets to the line…But he still needs to improve his footwork…

I like Otto Porter too, but I think he is a better shooter than Robinson and has more potential.  Great story too, from a town of 600, didn’t play AAU but is turning heads for a D1 historic basketball program.
